  1. Not sure you're that familiar with how substitutes work. That's exactly what happens!
  2. But in seriousness, depending on how much there is, light the burner again and wipe it off
  3. If you spill Red wine on your carpet they reckon you should put White wine on it to get the stain out. If we follow the same logic, you need to put a pair of Wellies on the burner and you should be fine.
  4. I love these two. Definately worth a look at their videos
  5. Might have to bust out the splicing kit. Been a while!
  6. @silky fox Give me a shout if you do, I'll send you some instruction videos
  7. Admirable thought but no chance.
  8. Probably my favourite photo that's been taken of me actually doing something
  9. If you're on a Blake's hitch now, I'd get a hitch climber first and wait till you've got the chance to try them both. 180 quid is a lot to spend to realise you bought the wrong one. If it was me, I'd go for a Rec climb with someone who will let you try them. Whichever you choose, having some time on a hitch climber and a VT before hand will help you loads
  10. Plus points of the Spiderjack is you can replace the clutch and it has a little lock meaning you can advance the rope without the weight below you pulling through. Plus points of the zigzag is you can combine it with the Chicane and use it SRT. Price is similar enough. I had a Spiderjack 3 and A zigzag both stolen and replaced the Spiderjack. Where are you based?
  11. What are you currently climbing on?
  12. I would pick the Spiderjack 3 over the Zig zag and I have them both. Next person will say the opposite. Have you got the chance to try either?
  13. Spoke to him yesterday and told him about the thread?
  14. DMM Sentinel? That was always the smallest sized crab I could remember but no idea on the diameter of the spine I'm afraid.
  15. Yeah. I'm pretty positive
  16. Didn't he have AIDs?
  17. Sorry. I won't forget you're the Top.
  18. A chippie, an oil rig worker and a sewer man walk into a bar..... Hold on, is this not the joke thread.
  19. Yeah. I wouldn't worry about it. Whipping twine is normally waxed so you can melt it to set it in afterwards. In my experience, the shrink wrap is only there to display the information and identification information. Don't need it on both ends!
  20. The Holy grail for me is working out how to make the onions the same as you get with poppadoms in the Curry house
  21. Spent yesterday cooking. Made Leek and Potato soup yesterday, doing Roasted Tomato today.
  22. So what happens when you can't keep 2 metres away? Aerial rescue, handballing logs into the back of the wagon? Everyone has their own view of this and obviously until anyone comes out with a comprehensive list of jobs that can and can't be carried out people will listen to what they want to as long as it fits their point of view. I'm at home and watching builders at the end of my garden building a house, all arriving in the same vehicle and then brickies and roofers all smoking on the scaffolding.
  23. I've got heated handles on my 550 and 560. Love them. Borrowed my mates without knowing that it had them. Thought I was having a stroke!
