  1. Very nice piece of work that!
  2. Thats seems very cheap to me - work out what your materials will cost, the machine hire, any other fixed costs(rubbish disposal etc) + add labour and that will give you the job price. If the customer needs it in a per/m2 then just divide the job price by the area.
  3. Can't really see the advantages of that winch. A vehicle mounted winch would be a lot more versitile and powerful.
  4. No - don't have anything to do with New Greenham Park. Whats your company called?

  5. I live near the center of Newbury and work mostly on Greenham Common. How about you?

  6. Hi All I am currently studying the Foundation Degree in Arboriculture and Tree Care at Sparsholt College and need to do a work placement from July 2010 - August 2011. I have already completed the National Diploma in Arboriculture with a Distinction and have got the basic NPTC tickets (CS30, 31, 38, 39, MEWP, Chipper). If anyone has any oppurtunities / placements that they would be able to offer me then please send me a pm. I am looking to do a mixture of practical and surveying work. I am based in Newbury but don't mind moving away if the right placement comes up. Thanks Laurence
  7. Surely if you are bringing more equipment to a job it should be reflected in the pay.
  8. Hello mate - noticed you had a "newbury" number on your website. Where abouts you based?

  9. Like said before - depends on the location, traffic density, speed etc
  10. Dean - what model tractor is that?
  11. I like the idea of that mecklock system! Could get quite pricy though if you had to install it on several vehicles!
  12. Haha that is one hungry tree!
  13. G A Butlers will do a 6" Timberwolf for £90 - not too far away from you.
  14. Well said Skyhuck! Nice Job Steve!
  15. Depends on the situation/what the clients wants! If they want a lot more light in the garden then pollarding may be a solution. Regrowth can then be cut every 3-5years. I would prefer a crown raise than crown reduce, although both have their right place.
  16. I take a pack lunch with a 2ltr bottle of water each day! It wastes too much time going to a cafe/burger bar!

    More Snow

Same here in Newbury! Good thing I've got meetings booked in for today so it hasnt affected me!
  18. Hello mate - did you get my pm I sent you a couple of days ago?

  19. Depends on your location/ skills/ experience/ what you can bring to the job as said before!
  20. Do you need a 4x4 or towing heavy trailers? If yes then get the land rover - if no then a transit will probably be better / enable you to do bigger jobs without having to empty the chip half way through the day!
  21. Very poor standard of work!
  22. Very nice set up there! Do you find the chip box too small?
  23. Where abouts you based?
  24. Shame it had to felled. How much woodchip did you get from it in the end?
