  1. Good thank you, very busy, been hot and dry for 6 weeks now, serious drought (the only "water" has been the snow melting) and forest fires all over the place!
  2. Good to hear from you Stefan!
  3. Browse/short reply’s on the phone, longer reply’s on the computer whilst putting off writing quotes and invoices
  4. Ive started removing myself from the tree groups, i'm actually too mature for them!
  5. Well despite the snow hanging around and now a drought, temperatures hitting 35 in the shade at home, and 45 up in the sun on the decking a few weeks ago, everything’s growing ok
  6. Nice one Rough Hewn! Few years ago I was on a project and the other climber came from 5 hours away, he'd turn up late monday morning (fair enough) and tent during the week, returning home friday eve. I get tired of people moaning about being quiet on the work front but won't travel more than 45min!
  7. My sons nursery wanted some new benches at their fire pit, quickly made this, with thought to that the children normally kneel on the ground using the bench as a table when eating to determine the height
  8. Exactly, the point i was getting to. Vesp implied previously that wood left lying about was fair game, free for taking. as it had no value to him, yet mentioned to some it has value. Great if you're like vesp and appreciate people taking wood, not so great if that wood was of value to you. The person helping themselves to the wood, won't know if its a waste or a value product if theres no one to ask, so IMO its not "fair game to take it as its lying around" Personally i put up a post on a local facebook selling group in the morning, chip, logs, free delivery to anyone who wants it.
  9. Exactly “to some” it has value, hows the log goblins going to know if the wood stacked at the side of the road is valuable to that particular contractor if it’s just “lying around” without anyone around to ask? Brilliant idea to offer free wood to the goblins though.
  10. Nice! I’ve often thought of doing similar
  11. Out of curiosity, does Greenmech charge any extra for a special colour?
  12. I buy kit from the U.K. and make a substantial saving...
  13. What'd that be, 3m3? that'd be about 900kg plus a few hundred extra for the tipper body?
  14. Anyone got any views on the ability of a defender 130 crew cab carrying a 700kg grinder on the original buck? On paper its fine, but in reality? With focus on drivability/how much it'd sit down?
  15. Done a quick one at the start of the year, theres honestly naff all between them, both awesome saws
  16. Why on earth would you do that?
  17. Can anyone help with belt tension on a Bandit ZT1844? The manual talks about hydraulic pump belt tension. But nothing about belt tension for the belts to the cutter wheel? Im guessing its a generic page for the rest of the range which is all hydraulic drive, but they seem to have forgotten the ZT1844 with its belt driven cutter wheel? Thanks in advance! @GlobalNewark
  18. Nice! Ive family over in Hotchkiss, Colorado is an awesome place, the people I met were so warm and accommodating. enjoy your trip
  19. A mates had both 230 and 280 tracked and will be going back to the smaller 230, lighter and more nimble which can be important in domestic gardens. Ive a 530t and a mate a 540t, 700kg difference and he’s commented on the better maneuverability of mine. paul, where in Colorado are you going?
  20. Yep, really happy with the site Steve done for me
  21. 461 is a 460 replacement, 462 is a 461 replacement plus a helluva lot more! id wait for the 462
  22. Same timescales I had when I partially severed my thumb tendon. Tendons take longer to heal than bone and very important to heal correctly
  23. Yes The one next to its coming out next year
  24. Really starting to enjoy grinding now with the extra power of the bandit. Jobs that i would have expected to take a long day with the vermeer are now being done before lunch
  25. Todays Jobs, fair drive to an Elm to fell and cut up, onto a cherry to top, then thuja to finish off (customer had made a start) finished with cutting a few planks for outside tables for the local nursery.
