  1. having replaced a 395 husky + 25inch bar, for a MS660+30inch bar, i find that the stihl is much much better, even with a bigger bar than the husky, fantastic to use, feels alot comfier than the husky did, somehow more user friendly. diddnt order it with heated handles, which would have been nice at the mo!
  2. when you come to paying him, say 'heres youre pay, and would you like to know why i wont be using you again???'
  3. theyre alright, alot better than hiflex so far (5months old atm) alot tougher wearing, i too found them a bit tight for the size, but after a few weeks they loosen up nicely. prefer them to hiflex, but will look at what else theres around when its time for new ones
  4. yeah i know i only need one hitch cord, but seeing as theres alot of diffrent opinions as to which is best, im going to try a few of the most popular (OP liros, AP, roblion ect(sp)) see what works best for me! at not much coin each, figure its worth it
  5. cheers matt, think im going to go for the scorch, based on what your experiences are, sounds simmilar to what i like, feels nice, and the fact i dont like the look of arbormaster! (looks ARE everything!) and just get half dozen diffrent hitch cordage, and see what i like best

    Day Rate

900's easily achievable for a 3 man gang, depending where you are BUT it depends how much you can do in a day, quality, type of work, size of job ect
  7. aaaahhhhh hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, crying with laughter, brilliant!
  8. whats the characteristics of those ropes matt? should be ordering them this week
  9. just dont forget to turn them off when you put them on the trailer! our groundsman diddnt, had one hell of a line of traffic behind us on the a14!
  10. found a dildo in a tree think it musthave been thrown out of the window, or another form of propulsion
  11. thats a great looking set-up there, think im gonna have to get myself a hitchclimber too, tidys everything up by the looks of things
  12. whats wrong with that??? perfectly good crown raise there
  13. to keep it at a manageable size so they dont have to pay out for them expensive tree surgeons?!
  14. i had pretty much the same happen to me-in newquay on a piss-up holiday, most of the other lads had gone back to the hostel earlier, was around 4am, but hadnt been drinking as was on a promise (diddnt want to suffer from brewers droop) couldnt find her, so i was on my own, got a kebab, walking up the hill to the hostel when i get a full can of beer lobbed at my head, turn round two younger lads there, one punches my gut, the other nicks my kebab. the one with the kebab starts to walk off, the other turns round and warns me (holding knife)not to tell the police as hes 'well ard' and his 'crew' would 'get me'. i look at him, realise hes half my size, so i properly layed into him big style-lots of blood, end up knocking him out, and breaking MY finger! some-one had rung the police, i get aressted, lucklly it was all captured on a hotels front porch cctv-told me it was obvious it was self defence
  15. they approached the blokes opposite our chip yard, asking if they knew where we were steve-they were irish although they tried (badly) to put an italian accent on, with the story that theyd been to do a forestry course but it got canclled
  16. see, i had exactly the same problems-but vehicles were reversed! my mk3 hilux required so much work and parts, it was a true money pit, but my landy before that only hada new battery, otherwise it was faultless personal experience i guess
  17. nice pics burrell, where were they? where abouts are you? company?
  18. really does depend what you want it for, for a true go-anywhere work horse a landy, to do more motorway miles, and spend a fortune in parts, then jap crap had landys and hilux, looking for a landy again, suits me better!
  19. only really twigged when saw your van outside-thought there couldnt be two like that!

  20. try doing a 5% reduction then! had one 10% and two 15% reductions this week (give or take:001_tongue:)
