  2. everyones still amazed im still alive nothing beats speed!
  3. i do it free hand by eye, look at the witness mark at the bottem of the top face of the cutter, keep that angle, in fact, look at a new chain, and try to keep all angles the same-side view you should see a nice curve. if youre not getting a decenc curve, try raising or dropping the handle hand(i have one hand on the handle and one loosly holding the tip of the file) keep the cutters the same length both sides-or youll be cutting round corners! to do the depth gauges, again i just do one or two strokes with a flat file on each one, but a gauge may help you if youve not done alot before. most important thing is the correct size file, and sharp file! change for a new file every chain-no point making life hard! welcome to forum btw

  6. or wait for the starlings to finish their winter migration here, and when the majority go back home, (we get an influx in the autumn/winter) bill the company for some work-spew them a loada BS about moving the little darlings, with an additional note saying same treatment will have to be carried out each year

  17. sure theres gonna be a chance to get upto so mischeif today
  18. how i translate it is landys have around a 1t payload, (youd better check!) and 3.5t towing capability so if you have a trailer licence, you can chuck 1t in the back, and tow upto 3.5 t. with youre licence however, you can only put upto 1t in the landy, so long as the landys weight (with load) stays under 3.5t, and tow the chipper, bringing you to 4250kg but if the landys got a tipper conversion, this eats into the payload too think thats right. sure someone will confirm/deny
  19. only a tonne?! will get the spare half shafts ready too . . .
  20. ok, i'll park our 18 tonner in a ditch and get the old series 3 out
