just brought 2 of the new NMM Ultra O locksafe for the hitch climber. really nice krabs, nice action, good finish, really pleased with them, even though they were a couple of quid extra than equivilant, i think they were worth it really liked mongoose-still got them for side strop-l like having diffrent krabs for diffrent kit using Ocean Polyester on HitchC at the moment-gets mixed opinions, but i find its really nice to use. got some roblon to try when get round to it, but atm OceanP does it for me

cheers dean, i know the ins and outs of landys-owned, worked on, driven prety much every engine/variation except the 127/130, been offered one, just curious as to manovurbility especially offroad, tight lanes, as im expecting the turning circle would be simmilar to the titanic??

used a prussik for the first time in about 2 years on wednesday-because i couldnt be bothered to put bu HC on my shortline for a row of small lime re-pollards it was horrible! so much effort climbing even the shortest distance compared to a HC prussik kept slipping-couldnt trust it to hold me nice and firm like the HC does doesnt decend as smoothly had to let go of the saw to pull the slack through-found it fustrating! also with the HC or a VT the tail of the rope is out of the way-right down by the harness. but with the prussik the tail of the line is 40-50cm away from you, sticking out making more clutter, and getting in the way perservered with one tree then promptly got the HC back on! Ahhh much better

2 new files per 30" 660 chain on average-easier and quicker to sharpen then!

that method doesnt work at-all, there was a device made some years ago designed with this concept in mind, it was a flop. much better idea would be a tifor, or simmilar hand winch-cheaper, more versitile, can use it for front or rear recovery, and gives you a work out too

haha, yeah, whilst driving up 'the lions back' (a grade 5/5 near vertical climb blah blah) i was thinking 'my old series 2A would make this no sweat'

Hummer, had a drive in one in the Moab desert in Utah, amazing vehicle, the amount of engeneering, and gizmos that aid its offroad performance is amazing
