  1. Thanks for posting that, just ordered 2 box's to replace what we use now and give a bit extra room to add a few more specific items. Standard green box's just ain't up to being on site and very easy to miss and get forgotten when packing up, been looking for something like these for a while 👍 I'll pick up some stickers for the outside from Hallfrauds as sure I'd see them there before.
  2. Might get some targets printed up nd start pinning them to trees in that case 😉
  3. It's a shame that the demo wasn't better advertise as I only found out about it as was working in next village on Friday but by the time we got over everyone was packing up at 3 as very few visitors compared to what they hoped but still got to have a chat with riko about a oniar trailer and crane.
  4. Do you leave a little advertising board regularly on jobs Ian?
  5. That was a rather heavy load, 130 full of chip and chipper up a 30degree wet hillside nd she still pulled no problem 👍
  6. Wish I could remember exactly where they came from as everyone else likes them, they were new milletry surplus but from where 😕 She's a good truck and we couldn't do without that winch for the sort of jobs we do. Another contractor had quoted to close the road and bring in a big crane to lift the trees out, bet that'd have been expensive!
  7. Thisafternoon involved getting a few trees washed down against the bridge over the last few storms. Not a problem for the rb winch but not so nice for the lad setting the slings in the absolutely freezing river. We had the get rid of the stumps but kindly the landowner kept the firewood in exchange for lifting the stumps into the trailer for me to take away.
  8. Nice old school grunt you have, really like the mb with those big winches, get some more pictures up would you?
  9. No pictures - it didn't happen unless sworn witness statement from someone on site 😜
  10. Could try Oakdale, they have a landy mount?
  11. Those are some serious cooling components on those last few engines, just been looking at your 990 that's close to me till his arrives, build quality is very impressive with no shrimps on quality, starting to think a bandit could be the future behind that truck of mine in another year or so, nice 90xp or 901 would just suit. Loving the pictures your sharing, bet your loving the working holiday 😉
  12. Yes and yes, lasted even in a rattly dusty old landy so should last in just about anything .
  13. Stacking the last of timber on a 250ton felling job today, last tree the lads had left to stunt fell without destroying the old explosives house on the section we had to clear for a new power line going in next week. Had to dig a few extraction tracks to make things easier when we get round to hauling it out once things dry up a bit more.
  14. Yes that's definitely a good investment, next few years something like that will be off my wish list and parked in the yard.... Hopefully. 😉 Best thing recently is some new Pfanner boots, so comfortable from the 1st day and now dry feet even on wet days 👍
  15. Ta, no its stock which is enough believe me, put my boy clean on his arse when he was 3 and walked round the corner when I was tidying up the drive.
  16. Wish we had 1 of those with us today, ringing up yesterday's beech into 8"rings then quartering them and still a 2 man lift to stack them to the sides. 5lts of fuel in the 088 3/4 trailer load of sawdust but a very happy client.
  17. You so n so, since you posted about replacing words, today iv had greased lightening replaced with greased lime tree while slipping around the crown.
  18. That's good new GardenKit, well done, hopefully that could mean I don't have to constantly reminder my local dealer that I only use aspen and to pi new stuff on it and use it when stuffs in getting sorted. Got that fed up a while back when we had a bit of a run of issues, mostly pole saws and hedge cutters that I bought a extra 5ltr can, got a big pen, wrote my name on it and gave it to the macanic out back to use when sorting my stuff who by the way is an absolute star!
  19. Your takeaway must give more generous portions than mine as you'd be lucky to fit 2 crabs in the little tubs they send out 😉
  20. What will the water be used for Bob? Interesting looking tank...
  21. Spreading beech to get down today. Nearly everything rigged to avoid plants hedges patio and a delicate looking retaining wall on the left of the tree, everything down on the deck today with just a big ringing session tomorrow morning as client keeping all the timber for his new woodburner, rather him than me trying to split that 40" knotty trunk with an axe!
  22. I'm glad I'm not the only 1 who will get a random word going round my head for no reason, tend not to fit it to song but irritating all the same, today was gyroscopic, just kept popping into my head. ....
  23. Give rufftraks a call if you want to get synthetic line, I've replaced all 3 of mine and the 1 on the rb has had some serious punishment over the last two years and is still fine, getting a bit fluffy so might replace after the winter is over and less salt about. Swapping really is a good idea for safety, easy of use and losses a good chunk of weight on the nose of the vehicle.
