  1. What exactly is it, any links to more information?
  2. I've got an idea to get a 2nd hand pto forestry winch and make up a linkage adapter so I can carry it on the front loader of my massy, originally this was just a transport solution to get it to and from site if I had 1 of the trailers on the back but then I started to wounder if there is a way of fitting a hydraulic motor onto the pto shaft and plug it into the extra service in the loader to be able to run it. Anyone done similar or any advice on if it's feasible or what type/size motor I'll need nd if anyone makes an easy on off collar for 1 similar to the pump on the botex trailer.
  3. Yeh it's a real pain when 1 go's and dumps 20lts of oil all over a clients lawn and kills a big patch of grass that you then have to have re turfed then the client complains that the turf is better than the rest of the lawn and needs cutting twice as often so wants discount off next year's work.... Apparently :-S
  4. Seen similar, almost wanted to stick around and see the outcome but had stuff to do.
  5. Is it spair tomorrow, got a magnolia to reduce in the morning 😉 Compared to some of his other toys 35k is quite reasonable for what it can do!
  6. He's a good hand with that machine is that lad, seen him in action a few times, are they coming back to whole tree chip as well?
  7. I get 10% on more than 6 cans, normally get 12 at a time. Some weeks I can do 3k worth of work on 1 can, others a can a day for £300 but not had a problem with a saw for 2 years of running on it nd just makes life easier being grab and go with it.
  8. Not to my liking but try treekit as they sell a lot of the Pfanner stuff and might be able to get it easy enough for you, might look better in a darker colour.
  9. Not sure I'd want a dark lid on if I was doing ground work under climber's as it's easier to not be seen and hit, saying that they do look smart.
  10. Fred using fire to burn out the props, proper job indeed! No way would you get away with that now, all those tires on fire and people doing what they are told and staying back without needing 50 police to keep em back.
  11. That's an impressive reach! I'd guess the wee log it's lifting in the picture is going to be about his max in that position...?.... Whenever I've used cranes I've found k booms so much better than cable type cranes as closer to the boom so less swinging about and tend to be remote control so operator has a much better view and as said the wagon can haul stuff away at the end of the day.
  12. Don't think so. 5.8ltr normally aspirated 6 pot Perkins engine, around 100hp I believe.
  13. Thanks chris, very pleased with it, got it lengthened out a bit so can now get two lots of 2.5 m on on the flatter ground, just got to remember to put the legs down now as spent so long on roofmounts I might have forgotten a time or two. 😜 Tidy machine in on same site putting up the new poles last week, hardly left a mark even on the wettest bit of the woods.
  14. Only pictures I could find on my phone at moment Iink to where it came from and I had mounting bracket made up at the local fabricators. https://www.riko-uk.com/product/40/357
  15. Not available on my android mobile 👎
  16. That's what we do with our grab on a hire 3 ton digger, company I deal with were fine about it and even fitted quick fitments to the bucket ram and pipes so was easy to swap back to digging if needed and then when it go's back to normal hire work they take them off and put back to normal.
  17. If you want to try lifting it in be my guest but bet your hopper snaps off before you get anything near the rolers for it to try 😈
  18. That's a big claim, hope the performance matches the gob!
  19. Fantastic will be getting a few ordered for harnesses and 1 for in mewp bucket as worked out its probably going to take longer to get down with that than it would if you were climbing and could just bail out. 👍
  20. Quick note I've noticed is that it's the pouch only and contents not included so you'll need to get your own C.A.T and bandage to go in it. Shame it's not altogether as it's a fantastic idea.
  21. This is the other video with it in. Personally really like it as there is no gates to forget to do up, almost impossible to cross load or side load anything that shouldn't be, something I'd get for a light rigging kit then go more traditional for blocking down.
  22. I got the ground saw version as a chipper saw as take no time to switch on to trim of a awkward branch but recently have had it in the tractor cab while forwarding to trim off odd missed branch or loose a low branch in my way as it's realy light, takes up very little room and won't stink out the cab with fuel fumes to give me a headache, stealth saw all the way for us these days
  23. Pennine biomass have 1 for sale at moment if you want me to pm you there contact details?
  24. Shame, she's nice and even after April has gon may be allowed to grace the wall along side a few from last year ;-)
