  1. Those are some serious cooling components on those last few engines, just been looking at your 990 that's close to me till his arrives, build quality is very impressive with no shrimps on quality, starting to think a bandit could be the future behind that truck of mine in another year or so, nice 90xp or 901 would just suit. Loving the pictures your sharing, bet your loving the working holiday 😉
  2. Yes and yes, lasted even in a rattly dusty old landy so should last in just about anything .
  3. Stacking the last of timber on a 250ton felling job today, last tree the lads had left to stunt fell without destroying the old explosives house on the section we had to clear for a new power line going in next week. Had to dig a few extraction tracks to make things easier when we get round to hauling it out once things dry up a bit more.
  4. Yes that's definitely a good investment, next few years something like that will be off my wish list and parked in the yard.... Hopefully. 😉 Best thing recently is some new Pfanner boots, so comfortable from the 1st day and now dry feet even on wet days 👍
  5. Ta, no its stock which is enough believe me, put my boy clean on his arse when he was 3 and walked round the corner when I was tidying up the drive.
  6. Wish we had 1 of those with us today, ringing up yesterday's beech into 8"rings then quartering them and still a 2 man lift to stack them to the sides. 5lts of fuel in the 088 3/4 trailer load of sawdust but a very happy client.
  7. You so n so, since you posted about replacing words, today iv had greased lightening replaced with greased lime tree while slipping around the crown.
  8. That's good new GardenKit, well done, hopefully that could mean I don't have to constantly reminder my local dealer that I only use aspen and to pi new stuff on it and use it when stuffs in getting sorted. Got that fed up a while back when we had a bit of a run of issues, mostly pole saws and hedge cutters that I bought a extra 5ltr can, got a big pen, wrote my name on it and gave it to the macanic out back to use when sorting my stuff who by the way is an absolute star!
  9. Your takeaway must give more generous portions than mine as you'd be lucky to fit 2 crabs in the little tubs they send out 😉
  10. What will the water be used for Bob? Interesting looking tank...
  11. Spreading beech to get down today. Nearly everything rigged to avoid plants hedges patio and a delicate looking retaining wall on the left of the tree, everything down on the deck today with just a big ringing session tomorrow morning as client keeping all the timber for his new woodburner, rather him than me trying to split that 40" knotty trunk with an axe!
  12. I'm glad I'm not the only 1 who will get a random word going round my head for no reason, tend not to fit it to song but irritating all the same, today was gyroscopic, just kept popping into my head. ....
  13. Give rufftraks a call if you want to get synthetic line, I've replaced all 3 of mine and the 1 on the rb has had some serious punishment over the last two years and is still fine, getting a bit fluffy so might replace after the winter is over and less salt about. Swapping really is a good idea for safety, easy of use and losses a good chunk of weight on the nose of the vehicle.
  14. 😁he was a fairly new to rigging at that point but now one of my best staff, amazing how quickly rope burn teaches them 😉 No it was sycamore, not nearly as heavy as beech but some of them were quite big chunks, that 390xp has a 28" bar on for scale. Thanks for the comments and I'm trying to work through quite a lot of footage to make a montage type video of all we do, eventually!
  15. Don't see nothing astray why you can't see it unless your currently in Germany where copyright says no!?
  16. I'll check settings when I get home.
  17. Should be, I'll check settings when I get home for you.
  18. Anyone tried the kelfry range, certainly not kesla built quality but looked ok for estate work or thinnings. Just had a look at 1 of the front loader grabs for shifting timber in the yard today, cheep and should do job fine.
  19. It's not always big enough to do the whole tree but makes low long laterals easy and chogging down the bigger timber almost enjoyable plus has the added bonus of being able to tow the trailer for extra chip removal or fetching the grinder.
  20. Yes I've done similar falling from a horse and was noticeable for quite a while, decent set of high tight boots that offer plenty of support and stop it twisting again will help.
  21. Looks painful but at least not broken, take it easy and you'll be back at it soon.
  22. Some footage from a while back I found on a old memory card while having a sort out yesterday so thought I might as well put it together, hope you enjoy.
  23. Better re write your terms and conditions download on the website then Paul as I don't think it is included.
  24. I like your thinking mark, saying that if I gave my lads a choice of looking after my two hooligans or taking a day off all I'd see is the car tail lights disappearing out the yard. When I started having more permanent staff I decided to start doing logs again for just such days when the weather or client cancels a job so at least I can set lads on and cover wages and overheads and no 1 is out of pocket to much. All this winter I've been saying that next time we are snowed off we'll have a set too and build the office/bait cabin in the barn to have somewhere easier to get warm for doing kit checks and drying gear but guess what never had that day yet....
  25. This is interesting, should I now quote this as the reason I can't do the job they have had the quote for for 2months before excepting strate away. Instead of saying, certainly I can still do it for the quoted price but as we have a lot on at the moment it'll be about 2 weeks till I can do your job, to which they sometimes reply ow we might try someone else to do it sooner..... I'll say Thank-you for excepting my quote, by law we will not be able to carry out your job for a minimum 14 days incase you change your mind to which they say.............. Don't think most of the companies offering the sort of services the OP talked about and this cooling of period will still reside within the same County to carry out the work if they actually stuck by it.
