  1. True swinny, direct drive via a clutch drive shaft set up so no belts to shred or hydraulics to overheat, narrows down quite a bit, optional remote control, 60hp cat engine. Forgot how good it was till you mentioned it.
  2. Yeh and the new megga price hike to match it!
  3. Interesting stuff, going to try that with some salmon in the oven on some cedar and apply offcuts iv got hanging around, looks like it could be a good craft fair addition to the stand ;-)
  4. Ok these have been out a while now and was wondering if anyone has 1 and how they rate the machine. Got a good look at 1 last week at orange plant and just waiting for them to email me the £details then possibly a demo if it adds up against the quadchip. Really want a quadchip 190 but it's not available and the 220 on a turntable just looks tooooooo big. So wodya think?
  5. Almost the perfect answer old Mill tree, I've just ordered my Hb20 and hire in a 7015 when I need it or can lump a bunch of job's together for a few days. Tend not to like subbing stuff out as had some bad experience with that from poor quality tidy up and unhappy clients.
  6. Yes but the gate might be a little wider afterwards ;-)
  7. Got to agree the 7015 is an absolute beast, hire 1 in from Orange plant as and when I've got suitable jobs, was ment to hav it last week for a few jobs but someone had bust a track so had the 4015 instead which was a good machine but not a patch on the bigun. Raco rg1635 is a very good and compact machine but don't know the price.
  8. This is actually a falt in the design as now you have 1 less excuse not to climb in the rain unlike my old hitchclimber which was a mare when everything got sopping wet sticking or slipping so was a good excuse to try and stay out the rain. Paul, remember that day in layburn, couldn't get any more raind on and soked without swimming in the river and the zz never slipped once, excellent piece of gear!
  9. Cut off stuff or dug up stuff, got a load that have been dug up on site I'm clearing at moment.
  10. 20min, you having a brew between blade's or something ;-) I'd be happy if I could get 15 chipping hrs between turning blade's but that's because of contamination from dragging stuff across wet ground at the moment, although just done a little site clearance and done 50+m2 of chip in 2days and still raiser sharp
  11. Isn't that because you were using 24mm poly prop and rapping it round the stem so sod all run in the system ;-) Yes the rings would still cause a 2-1 affect but slightly less as some of the friction is at the top so let's call it more like 1.9-1:rolleyes::what:
  12. But in theory having some of the friction at the skinny top bit is actually reducing the presure as it's reducing(slightly) the 2-1 caused by a pully system. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that partly why David x man has been developing the tht 3 ring block thing? Also watched a good kiwi video with the porterwrap at the top of the tree for the very same reason...
  13. That just shows how pictures can be deciving 1 pick, Yeh it's a ok size tree, last pick with the 880 For#### that's a decent size chunk of tree, cool photos
  14. More likely a snapped clutch spring or crud build up in the clutch drum.
  15. Hmm, I'll stick to hiring in a 3ton bobcat thanks.
  16. Had a little hang in 1 while I was at gustharts getting 1 of my lads some new gear, neither of us liked it and he opted for a vaga plus harness.
  17. Is that the 1 that been for sale on eBay for a while? Just got it Ian? Edit, just seen it's your mates.
  18. Better quickly add, check the wife isn't standing behind you while you watch.
  19. Think that was 1 of these for accessing the tree. Enjoy. Strap on a Wraptor - with the Wraptor Girls:
  20. Sneaky peak of quite a few cool toys in that video, really enjoyed watching that 1 but I feel it was slightly spoil by the short cameo from a sthil top handle
  21. With an otter box on that thing you'll need a second rucksack and a sherpa just to carry your phone :-P
  22. Grand job, so nice when it turns out to be something simple that costs nothing but a bit of time to fix.
  23. The old analogy of those that can no longer do - teach, well that's half my plan and the other is get the business to a point where I can have others capable of doing these things while I supervise or am doing less strenuous activities. 3 years isn't that long to be hurting yourselfunless you have been unlucky, 17 years is just say starting to show on me now.
  24. That's not a phone that's a wide screen TV! Thought my experi was big...
