  1. Not sure who the mulcher came from but its being converted by forest machine service in hexam, might have finished it now. The mulcher looks a little smaller than yours but could be deciving with the big toe you have on, what's the reason/use for that?
  2. Looking good hamdogg, serious kit on that job and a proper chipper this time ;-) What you think of the little skid steer?
  3. Looks like you leave a much neater job than the last excavator mulcher I'd had in on a job. A mate of mine is just on mounting a seppi on a 14ton zero tail swing dooson also being set up similar to a harvadig machine to swap about easier which should be a fair machine when done, will get some pictures up next time I'm over his way.
  4. Snappy stuff ain't it, looked tall!
  5. That's in 3rd gear just off tickover. Unfortunately on really knotty stuff the safety on the winch valve kicks in which is why I need a 2nd circuit fitting. Plugged it into yard owners tractor and couldn't find anything in my log pile it wouldn't split. Next mod is an adjustable stop to prevent the blade going all the way up ever time.
  6. Rb44 powered splitter: Link arms are at a fixed hight for now so just lift splitter with big trolley jack and slide arms on, top link is like any normal tractor, not going to be on permanent just as and when we need it on site, going to make a frame to sit it on when in the yard and have some longer pipes out to truck till I either get a loader tractor or a power pack to run it off, it's only for doing my own logs and odd times clients want there own timber splitting on site. Hydraulic bloke is ment to be coming to fit a 2nd circuit to plug into but for the test just undid winch pipes and connected them to splitter.
  7. Well we have almost got it sorted. Since taking photos I've cut the bottom link bar off and re welded to at the very bottom at the same hight as the table so it carries a bit higher, looking for someone to make up crimped steel cables to replace the webbing straps if any1 know anyone?
  8. Some cool work on video in that lot big:thumbup:for that.
  9. Yeh sorry that's what I ment but phone predicted what I meant.
  10. Nothing new is ever cheaper which is expectable with all the R & D that will have had to go into it, what was the %£ increase from the 150 to the 240 then that could be an indication, I have no doubt it'll be a better machine having seen what timberwolf has all ready achieve with the new models of machine.
  11. Remember Anwick job! You spent best part of 6 days grinding solidly about 100 stumps a day with it!
  12. Ha ha I wish , no I'm married so not allowed cash any more ;-)
  13. True swinny, direct drive via a clutch drive shaft set up so no belts to shred or hydraulics to overheat, narrows down quite a bit, optional remote control, 60hp cat engine. Forgot how good it was till you mentioned it.
  14. Yeh and the new megga price hike to match it!
  15. Interesting stuff, going to try that with some salmon in the oven on some cedar and apply offcuts iv got hanging around, looks like it could be a good craft fair addition to the stand ;-)
  16. Ok these have been out a while now and was wondering if anyone has 1 and how they rate the machine. Got a good look at 1 last week at orange plant and just waiting for them to email me the £details then possibly a demo if it adds up against the quadchip. Really want a quadchip 190 but it's not available and the 220 on a turntable just looks tooooooo big. So wodya think?
  17. Almost the perfect answer old Mill tree, I've just ordered my Hb20 and hire in a 7015 when I need it or can lump a bunch of job's together for a few days. Tend not to like subbing stuff out as had some bad experience with that from poor quality tidy up and unhappy clients.
  18. Yes but the gate might be a little wider afterwards ;-)
  19. Got to agree the 7015 is an absolute beast, hire 1 in from Orange plant as and when I've got suitable jobs, was ment to hav it last week for a few jobs but someone had bust a track so had the 4015 instead which was a good machine but not a patch on the bigun. Raco rg1635 is a very good and compact machine but don't know the price.
  20. This is actually a falt in the design as now you have 1 less excuse not to climb in the rain unlike my old hitchclimber which was a mare when everything got sopping wet sticking or slipping so was a good excuse to try and stay out the rain. Paul, remember that day in layburn, couldn't get any more raind on and soked without swimming in the river and the zz never slipped once, excellent piece of gear!
  21. Cut off stuff or dug up stuff, got a load that have been dug up on site I'm clearing at moment.
  22. Normal grinding disk.
  23. 20min, you having a brew between blade's or something ;-) I'd be happy if I could get 15 chipping hrs between turning blade's but that's because of contamination from dragging stuff across wet ground at the moment, although just done a little site clearance and done 50+m2 of chip in 2days and still raiser sharp
  24. Isn't that because you were using 24mm poly prop and rapping it round the stem so sod all run in the system ;-) Yes the rings would still cause a 2-1 affect but slightly less as some of the friction is at the top so let's call it more like 1.9-1:rolleyes::what:
  25. But in theory having some of the friction at the skinny top bit is actually reducing the presure as it's reducing(slightly) the 2-1 caused by a pully system. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that partly why David x man has been developing the tht 3 ring block thing? Also watched a good kiwi video with the porterwrap at the top of the tree for the very same reason...
