  1. That was a big ring of timber in the yard the day Dean delivered it so desperate for a play with my new toy! Normally cut off as low as possible to grind the least amount and produce the least amount of grinding to get rid of or fit back into the hole.
  2. Yes, yes it is ;-)
  3. Was wondering if johny still had her as seems to be very quiet on arbtalk these days. Nice to see 1 in the original pea green, excellent workhouses!!
  4. Yeh, but not sure about the electric drive system as it looks like it could be an expensive fix WHEN it go's wrong plus it's either on or off so feathering it forward is a no and tires are almost zero grip. Just my opinion others might differ but the little 1 was very good for the money!
  5. If you don't want/need a big machine and within your budget I'd go for this. Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=121605250211&globalID=EBAY-GB&alt=web Used 1 a while back and was impressed but went for a Hb20 as needed something that could pack a bit more punch but still get in places.
  6. Ah the dance of shame. ;-) Had to do it a few times myself recently with the cherrypicker sinking.
  7. Liked that, thought you were on your own for a while as brash was fairly building up. Was that a silky kiss on your right hand near the end? ;-)
  8. You should have called me Paul, could have directed you to several good places, if you're back there tomorrow giz a bell if you still not sorted.
  9. Just a bigger version of my girl, would be good with a big bandit behind!
  10. Ended up with a fractured knee cap due to a momentarily lapse of concentration by an experienced groundsman locking of a flying capstan accidently. Never had a problem with any mistakes with a bollard.
  11. Did a job in a house owned by an army office who rented it out, all went well till trying to get payed as he was posted abroad on active service so I cut a bit of slack till it got to nearly 6 months down the line after not a lot of response I lost my rag and went to local army base and demanded to see the desk Clark who then directed me to a rather high ranking offices door, after 10min of explaining the situation and showing him all the papertrail, a little computer searching I got told to leave it with him and if I'd heard nothing in 2 days come back and start formal complaint proceedings. Money was in my account by the time I got home and looked. Wish I could have sat in on that conversation! Turns out they take a dim view of offices not paying bills.
  12. Luckily my kids are away at granny's so got to sleep till body woke up naturally and not by being jumped on or hit with a book,
  13. Cree led's are good jon, got some 7"ones on the landy and looking at getting more for the rest of the vehicles. We have a biggish landy show between Rippon and harrogate in may so hopefully pick up some show price deals.
  14. Grate vid, love the tunes. Looks slippy stuff the way the bark peals of it?
  15. Run your saw on aspen and have no more worries, just stick it on the shelf till you need it next.
  16. Still say a container on rubber pads and a electric fence generator inside wired up to the door and clad the rest in timber, the way mine will be set up only the door will be exposed and all hinges and locks are on the inside so nothing easy to cut. Considering combo locks so the numbers can be changed for whatever reason like falling out with a member of staff who has keys and could easily get in and course a lot of problems.
  17. Pete seeing your 130 makes me want to get mine done now, don't chip into it often as mostly trailer puller or carrying the grinder but that looks smart!
  18. Minimum a Buckinghams flying capstan next a rc capstan but ideally a fixed bollard even if it's the smaller rc2001 you won't regret the investment and it'll last for years when you need it.
  19. It would be interesting to see some pictures of the extent of the decay during the autopsy if it go's ahead.
  20. Like that 1:thumbup: Last time I got a window seller call me in the office I Google postcode for broadmoor prison and gave them that when asked and said that'd be my permanent residence for the next 10years, dizzy fool never twigged that they had called on a landlines with an area code no where near that place ;-)
  21. It's what it was built for..working!
  22. No reason why you couldn't put the kenlow infront of the radiator to force extra air through when needed and put some vent holes in the sides of the bonnet to let hot air out.
  23. A large chipper will only fill it quickly if you chip everything it'll take but fill it exactly the same as smaller machine but with less run time if you only chip what you need to. The set up you are talking about gives you a very varied capable setup if you expect to get work requiring you to leave the road but if you do mostly towny trees then not the most ideal 1.
  24. Got 1 on my 200tdi jon and got a switch on dash to turn it on, rare it gets used, normally only very hot days with a big load and lots of hills to pull up.

    New Vehicle

I couldn't go back to just running 1 vehicle now, just handy having 2 to spred the load or while 1 is off being emptied work can continue filling the second even if just with logs or carrying gear or stump grinder, having 2 very often means a 3 man a day job with 1 going back on day 2 to grind or collect timber is finished in 1 day with the same 3 men or I can go off pricing at the end of the day while the lads head back to unload
