  1. I did admittedly it hit the anvil when that cracked but out of curiosity I cut the blade in half and it looked like Swiss cheese, full of very very small air bubble but big anough to see without glasses on(non genuine blade) so also cut up a genuine fooked blade that had hit gravel and wore out a cutting disk doing so but steel looked completely different inside.
  2. Use the 14mm for nearly everything but got a 20mm for when I'm in a rush and want to rig big, might be big but it's still usable ;-) Thought about a 12mm for speed line but not had a job to make an excuse to get 1.

Your boys above have them, but run a bead of weld down the front when you 1st get them to save ware on the holders front edge.

Had super teeth then got some 2nd had clamps for the old vermeer teeth that fitted the original wheel holes and kept similar looking tooth, used a mates with rino teeth in an inserter tip wheel which was fantastic and so smooth yet aggressive, really liking the greenteeth on the Hb20, these clamps should fit your wheel and work out cheaper in the long run as affectively have 3 edges.

Na, normally too worn by then and the 1 time I tried ended up having teeth snap from fatigue. Now on greenteeth and trying some weresharp ones at mo but would be interested in some better prices ones for jobs where I know there's a good chance of totalling a set.

Let us know how the teeth hold up in comparison to genuine one's as have found another brand of aftermarket teeth seemed to chip off very badly in comparison to genuine which just got dull and easily re sharpened.
  7. You are a lucky man! Did you chainsaw or silky your lanyard, quick thinking whichever as could have been nasty injuries otherwise.
  8. Nice 1 Ian, you should have set it in time sink to mach the maturing of your beard over the last few years ;-). Really want 1 of those little powered winches!
  9. At 250 a day so would I!
  10. Might have to get you over to sort our kits out Pete as lad who has done them last few years seems to have disappeared again and left me with sod all paperwork, pm me some costs if you want.
  11. Never good to hear a man's down, heal quick and do whatever the docks say to help you get back to where you were. Keep us updated how you get on and in your own time what happened as a warning to the rest of us.
  12. Fantastic once I changed the rope.
  13. https://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/clarke-cs10brk-10-ton-body-repair-kit Wounder if this would work with the spreader jaws in the kit or make something from the rams in the kit?
  14. Don't ask me I know nothing, mostly because I as so busy at mo I get garage to do such things as have no enthusiasm to start spannering at night in the cold. Let me know what you find out.
  15. 1 of 2 things happen... 1 it eats it and spits it out. 2 it stops the drum and you have to get out and shift it and keep going. Only ever broken 1 tooth and that was on a steel road plate. Half a role of stock net is your worst enemy as that can take hrs to cut out from the teeth.
  16. Cheese ham, going to look for them now...
  17. Neither, you'll sweat in both but I think the stretch airs might be available as type A's if that's suitable for you and probably a little cooler as a looser fit overall.
  18. Happy on about 6"material but will do bigger but it drags the drum speed down quickly so got to go stedy with it, eats blackthorn quite happily! Mulching is strange, the harder the timber the better it smashes up the softer stuff like willow or pop just fluffs up and looks messy.
  19. The sthil are horrible and don't last, got a pair for night time call outs, constantly ride up over my boots because of elastic band at bottom of legs pockets are impossible to use and the reflection bands peal off in no time, wish I'd got another pair of stretch airs instead!
  20. Bit of clearance work for the county council, remove 4 ash same as in 1st pick and grind stumps done day 1 then clear a swath through the prickly stuff but had a little help with that, would be a tidy finish apart from all the litter!
  21. If it's a dismantle then cut in a step for your lowering bollard and remove bark all way round trunk where straps go for better/safer grip, similar to ring barking ;-)
  22. Think that could be a bit confusing after a few beers and trying to focus on the floor to get upstairs quietly ;-)
  23. It was 1 day I'd chipped up the stuff I'd dragged round to the front of the house but left chipper running while I nipped round back for last big limb and heard chipper start chipping something, strange thought hopper was empty when I left so grabs limb and scoorles back to front to find neighbor trying to feed several old Christmas trees into chipper, lucky he hadn't got last freshest 1 in as that still had full set of lights on, when politely asked WTF he thought he was doing all I got was 'i didn't think you'd mind as you'll be selling the mulch anyway ' Cheeky so n so!!
  24. 5days without posting  You'll be in withdrawal ;-)
  25. Got finished today on the big beech, stripped a bit more timber off then felled the poles then the joy of ringing up everything over 18" but at least I managed to come up with a way to avoid flushing the stump of. Saw in pictures is my 088 with 30"bar for scale.
