1.
Thanks very much for the advice Steve. I'm using this saw everyday, I know its hard to predict future problems but do you think its worth spending the money on the repair or just take the hit and buy a new saw? Cheers Matt

Hi Matt, main bearings tend to last the life of the saw as does the crank, that being said, these new machines run on a lot less fuel oil mix and there lies the problem. The cost you have been quoted seems about right, I usually charge around £200 labour for bottom end rebuilds so your guy isn't quoting an exorbitant fee. Personally I would only use synthetic oil in these saws and a 40:1 mix - lots may disagree but that is there choice.

Cheers

Hi Spud,

I wander if you can help me? I have a husq 560 xp about 4 years old - it went in for repair the other day and I've been told the main bearings have gone and its going to cost 280 to repair -parts and labour. Just wandered roughly what your price would be for the repair - and if this is a common problem on a 4 year old saw? Thanks in advance, Matt

 4. Thanks for your replies. much appreciated. Yes the saw is racing...
 5. Hello, I wander if anybody can help me?? I have a husqvarna 560xp and for some unknown reason the chain keeps spinning on idle. I understand this model has an autotune so I cant adjust the speed. What could be the reason? Is it carb related or some simple adjustment I've overlooked? Many thanks in advance
