  1. She needs a winch on that front bumper Ian to make her a proper work horse, mine got decorated recently, proper get out my way bright now! 👍
  2. Yeh swapped over to the large DMM and 20mm rope as couldn't let the chunks run much because of the wall and roof hence the amount of stem wobble at the end. Just had to get enough hight of it so when I felled the pole it didn't hit the culvert for the pond.
  3. Ow yes, Even better with thinner rope in it Paul,
  4. I like them as they are lightweight and easy to reposition and ad a little friction to the top of the system and seem to have made it easier for the lads running the ropes. Don't use them for big blocking down as swap over to the big DMM block to give a better bend radius especially if the 20mm rope is in play. Just ordered another beast ring from treekit as splicing up a retrievable rigging sling with it which hopefully will be quite useful for a few upcoming jobs. Also a dam site cheaper than blocks to make up several kits.
  5. Spoke to my local dealer yesterday about getting a full pallet of it delivered directly but he recond with the discount I get I'd not save anything apart from the convenience of not having to pick any up but as I get 9 or12 at a time and normaly pass the dealer at least once a fortnight that's not a problem. Converted 2 of my subbies now and got a regular client onto the blue cans for his classic bikes.
  6. Cheers Jon, Yeh that's a good lump of willow but have actually shifted bigger on a redirected pull to clear roads on callous without any problems, well apart from stopping the truck moving first that is. Got a few videos to do showing a bit more of our gear working rather than just climbing stuff but finding time is always a battle.
  7. Had 1 for a little over a year and lasted very well but don't expect it to keep you dry, shoulders start out shower proof but not for long but as a general work and climbing jacket it's been good and comfortable. Just got a arbpro jacket from gustharts and that's very comfortable and actually quite waterproof, just about to give it a good nikwax spray to improve that.
  8. Sean I'd have that picture on my wall quite happily, you have a real Tallent and you should look at getting a exhibition together. I've done a bit of work for a local landscape photographer, Jo Cornish, both tree work and some stuff for in the gallery and have regularly seen guest exhibitors and belive me you are up there with these guys in capturing images and probably better than some. Well done sir 👍
  9. Always a way round these things eh. Only the 1 camera at the moment and then some editing stuff not in the order taken and a lot of sending the camera up and down.
  10. That could be the music I guess, sorry. Had 1 blocked in Japan before as well.
  11. Got that on film as it was the 1st big top that lad who works for me had rigged out like that, just tried to get a few different shots this time.
  12. And smartwinch, some amount of money's worth of gear on that job! Nicely edited.
  13. It's in Middleham where all the racehorses get trained up our way, you can spot the old castle in the distance aswell. Ian Brown from the stone roses Jon, daughter loves those tracks 😁
  14. Should do as made it compatible with all mobile devices, I think!?!
  15. Latest bit of video from me, hope you enjoy. Taken me a while to get back into doing some editing so making a bit of effort to go backwards through the tons of footage I've taken and done nothing with for probably about a year.
  16. Was more envious of the chipper before but now the landy has taken that place. Wouldn't want to be trying to keep up with the hizo by hand, get some more pictures up soon of them all.
  17. That's 1 good looking chipper and landy👍
  18. Yeh, mine took far to many hrs to find a rubbed wire that was earthing against the block and stopping starter solenoid kicking in, sometimes fixing folts only costs a rap of insulation tape but a lot of time to find and get too which could have been costly if at a garage at £37+ vat hr.
  19. Tachyon has been a fantastic rope for me, lower stretch than the bt when on big lengths and really runs well in my zigzag.
  20. I like older vehicles as I can mostly fix them myself being landys they do brake but easy enough to bodge again but I've kept the arb gear as new as I can for the warranty and backup.
  21. Looks interesting if something UK orientated existed.
  22. The line on the rb has had some serious abuse and lived up to it fine, a little fluffy now but never snapped despite dragging some ridiculous loades. Worth looking up some you tube video's on how to splice it back together incase you ever do snap it as it's really easy to do. Here is mine doing what it does quite a while back now but still good but going to replace soon as I recon I could get nearly 200ft on the drum no problem and quite often could do with it!
  23. Call rufftracks in Glasgow they will give you all the information you need, very competitive on price and good service, all 3 of my winches run line off him 2x warrior 1200 s and the big boughton on the rb44.
  24. Told you that you'd like that chipper, chuck and duck :-D
