  1. Would joining two together work or would the joint heat up even though it's on the negative side?
  2. Been on replacing the leads to my landy winch with some much thicker better quality cables but unfortunately the earth lead is about 30cm too short. So can anyone tell me if it would matter if this was bolted onto the same place as 1 of the earth straps on the chassis instead of going all the way to the earth terminal on the battery.
  3. Tidy, always fancied 1 set up like that with the roler shutters on the sides for carrying gear and general tow vehicle, looks very tidy
  4. Sounds good, get a thred up about the conversion with lots of pictures.
  5. You've got some fantastic gear going on now bud, really would like to see the brunks in full flow some day.
  6. Always fancied a canal holiday, hope you're enjoying your self bud.
  7. Tight access for the bandit for 10min grinding then onto 2nd job to remove a willow and log it up, water was running out of it as it was split! Then grind a very rotten birch which just turned to dust when the teeth hit it.
  8. Fat fingers sent before attaching
  9. Just got a email from lro with the new tshits from them, grey 1 top right might have to be ordered 😀
  10. Two clutches at about a k both within a little over a month of each. Not as bad as a clutch and duel mass fly in my wife's hyundie at 1500 because it was miss fitted before we got it!
  11. Just more purposeful really!
  12. 12000lbs remote control is what you want Ian, running 2 warrior winches on my landys and proved excellent. The remote really opens up a whole new level of use!
  13. I got a couple of abr rings to see how they compared and definitely a lot less mettle in them than the competition and the rope won't sit in them as well, won't use mine as terminal rigging point any more since getting a selection of x rings.
  14. For a awful second there I thought the landy was being towed out the field by the white pickup,
  15. Almost as treequip said it's all relative, I've work with some climbers who thought themselves truly awesome but can't get near what I can achieve in a day and then I've been with climbers who thought themselves kind OK at what they do and they've handed me my ass on a plate! A good climber is 1 that gets the job done and go's home at the end of the day hassle free....every single day!
  16. Ahhh you mean I was lifting all that and she's unballasted, just shows how heavy the rest of it is!!
  17. Get in contact with someone like rgb forestry, practicality Browns who have those machines and do it day in day out and the cost of the operator will seem like nothing compared to the extra production familiarity with the equipment will bring.
  18. Nast, I squeamish as fook about eyes and had to have metal removed from mine before my last mri on my knee because if you go in that big magnet with metal parts in you nasty things can happen....apparently. Yes those ointment dyes are fantastic, day glow yellow or green snot for about a day nd a half afterwards!
  19. Just wish I had the tractor available all the time as it's busy daddy's and spends most of its time on a biomass chipper but on quiet days I try and snaggle it away from him to do my heavy lifting.
  20. Just got sent this picture and thought it worth sharing, nice little weekend side line and with this little chipper as a bean grinder you'd be set.
  21. Especially since cab mounts have no stabilisers and just rely on the pure bulk of the tractor under them, some people don't rate botex but not many can handle big hardwood like these do but any crane is better than cutting up and handballing if the access it available!
  22. Madness and genius all in 1 machine that's for sure, would love to see a site manages face if you turned up on site with it over here!
  23. Why do things with blood pressure when it can be done with hydraulic pressure 😉
  24. No where neer, I could get to Newcastle in the same time as it'd take to get to tad. Most local well known brewery to me is black sheep at Masham.
  25. Newcastle brown = angry fight juice from collage days, nasty stuff! She looks a bonny 1 for sure Paul!
