  1. If the price of firewood keeps going up they will.
  2. Sometimes they are the foe sometimes a friend,
  3. Let's hope they continue to plant many more 😉 Felling at ground level would have been problematic on two counts, half the trees had a chain link fence grown into them and it was requested by the airport to leave as acted as natural crash protection for the fire crash teams buildings. And as for the pricing not far wrong but typically for conifer bashing there's always more than expected but the log vultures saved the day asking for as much as we could be arsed to cut out and leave.
  4. Playing in the rain today Serious amount of chip removed today, butcher off to head hight everything around the car park.
  5. Wouldn't be same without you bud 👍😸cheers John.
  6. Nice finish hodge, looks natural.
  7. Based where Jon, we have 3 company's near us calling themselves the log shed all selling logs but only 1 would you want to get any from.
  8. This is how mine are set up, fitted to some chipper defs that can easily be fitted or removed from the helmets depending on what task we are doing and who's in that day, set of 3 all linked together for open chatting while working.
  9. Nice, always like compilation videos 👍
  10. I'm happy with mine as it's me and my boy infant of me truck nd that's exactly who I am, family and work. I know what you mean, silky fox constantly changes his which can confuse sometimes as I tend to recognise without really seeing who's talking from the picture.
  11. Tall tall sticks them are!! Bet you really miss our scabby little hardwoods back in blighty having to work with views like that 😉
  12. Cheers garden kit, that's good to know. Think I get a good discount as I'm there biggest consumer and have sent quite a lot of new customers there way. Think I'll stick to how we do it now as normally time a restock with getting anything ells we need. Happy to put in a good word with aspen for kieth at Sam turners, always very helpful!
  13. Fantastic tool, use it loades for delicate pruning jobs. Try looking up fiskar directory they may be able to supply you bits directly.
  14. That's 54 Inc vat johny 👍
  15. If you get 1 of the auto oil filled tops for the fuel side that should fit the smaller hole as that's what I did when I got the 540xp as that too has a small filler hole.
  16. That's just an age thing mick 😜 Cutting and holding, not putting on chain brake, drop starting saws, not putting my visor down, arguing with the sat nav and eating nuttela with a spoon from the jar are among mine
  17. 54p ltr for 500 ordered yesterday, paid more as is min order as only got a small tank at moment but better than the quid a ltr I was paying at plant hire place for a while.
  18. A combination of something like this a large alasken or a logasoll m8 would be perfect for the timber we bring back to get used for more than logs.
  19. Looks a very good bit of kit, wish I had the money.
  20. This is the throw pod and I use it every time I had throw but for a launcher I use the 220 above as the rubber bullet becomes just that when launched and can bounce wildly around the crown sometimes.
  21. Found the bit about the gauls interesting, being used to produce ink. Will that have ment that once they had professional gaul pickers off looking and harvesting these things?
  22. Had to deadwood this thing today for the highways agency, was surprised it wasn't down for a removal over two footpaths and next to a very busy road. Forgot the after pictures but looked better than I thought but don't give it much long term hope.
  23. I've found a spot about 30 cm along the main chassi rail from where the main earth lead bolts to it so should be OK from what agrimog says, after the original leads started to fail from being a bit thin and cheap so the new 1ns are 50% thicker and at least twice the number of strands inside so should be good enough. Also got a big heavy duty 24v capable isolater fitted tonight instead of the nasty plastic red key type that came with it.
  24. Never used the 1 on the oil as kept it as a spare for fuel but never needed it. Could the fuel have degraded the seals so making it stick a bit
  25. Pump fuel or aspen? I'm on Aspen and had no bother with mine, a mate is on pump fuel and has had sticking spouts.
