  1. One of the beers I think I liked from last night's beer festival in town, think we tried about 15 in total and only rejected 1 as not nice, something like harvest hare I think.
  2. Took some cleaning out all that sawdust and sap!
  3. Pm me what you want and I might just get it off you.
  4. Back to a bit of forestry for today Nice ride provided by the estate even if the crane is a bit flimsy compared to the botex. Ugly big edge trees that they didn't fancy smashing the walls with so I stripped the ridiculously long side branches on a few spruce before the poles get dropped on Monday once I've uncovered the bottoms from the tangle of brash iv created.
  5. Looks like you had plenty of gear to demo with, every time you post a video you get me thinking about getting a smartwinch and all the possibilitys it could open up in some of our rigging work.
  6. I was slightly disappointed when I demoed the 190, good but didn't impress like I'd hoped, definitely didn't throw the chip as well as the quadchip did and wasn't that much of a step up in performance especially for how much bigger it is. Some very good features on it like the button on the hopper to increase or drop the revs and being able to drop the belt tensioner easily when doing the blades.
  7. Nearly 50hrs on mine now and blades are still good.
  8. Nice 1 Sam, going to have to get a rench and try srt with my zigzag sometime.
  9. Necessity is the mother of all invention! And yes I am😀, I'll be putting sed socket on arbtrader shortly as now surplus to requirements 😉
  10. 10"Farmi chipper is a lot of machine for the money and good as hopper folds round to make it shorter for front mounting.
  11. Just trim 1 down with angle grinder
  12. St8 for me, fantastic machine and knocked the socks of the class competition we had on demo, Jenson 540 is probably on par with a few different features but it really comes down to what deal you can get and who you want to deal with. I personally liked the fact I was dealing directly with the manufacturer so in theory parts and problems should be sorted faster.
  13. If the price of firewood keeps going up they will.
  14. Sometimes they are the foe sometimes a friend,
  15. Let's hope they continue to plant many more 😉 Felling at ground level would have been problematic on two counts, half the trees had a chain link fence grown into them and it was requested by the airport to leave as acted as natural crash protection for the fire crash teams buildings. And as for the pricing not far wrong but typically for conifer bashing there's always more than expected but the log vultures saved the day asking for as much as we could be arsed to cut out and leave.
  16. Playing in the rain today Serious amount of chip removed today, butcher off to head hight everything around the car park.
  17. Based where Jon, we have 3 company's near us calling themselves the log shed all selling logs but only 1 would you want to get any from.
  18. This is how mine are set up, fitted to some chipper defs that can easily be fitted or removed from the helmets depending on what task we are doing and who's in that day, set of 3 all linked together for open chatting while working.
  19. Nice, always like compilation videos 👍
  20. I'm happy with mine as it's me and my boy infant of me truck nd that's exactly who I am, family and work. I know what you mean, silky fox constantly changes his which can confuse sometimes as I tend to recognise without really seeing who's talking from the picture.
  21. Tall tall sticks them are!! Bet you really miss our scabby little hardwoods back in blighty having to work with views like that 😉
  22. Cheers garden kit, that's good to know. Think I get a good discount as I'm there biggest consumer and have sent quite a lot of new customers there way. Think I'll stick to how we do it now as normally time a restock with getting anything ells we need. Happy to put in a good word with aspen for kieth at Sam turners, always very helpful!
  23. Fantastic tool, use it loades for delicate pruning jobs. Try looking up fiskar directory they may be able to supply you bits directly.
