  1. Well a good clean down and some jb weld splodges in and smoothed over on Wednesday night, left to harden over night. Used it yesterday and today and so far seems to have held absolutely fine. Managed to push a bit through the hole then flatten it out a bit at the back so hopefully that'll help seal and hold it in place.
  2. I'd say horse chestnut from those pictures.
  3. Close fitting round neck as traps the air in for insulation and cool down warn up by removing adding layers over it. Got some fantastic Marino one's but needs to be proper cold to brake those out!
  4. Eddie that's probably the most intelligent relevant posts I've seen on here for quite a while!
  5. Not long that's for sure! As long as they run long enough to turn a decent profit and pay to be renewed it'd be reet
  6. I guess if they are running constantly for 3 years under load imagine what sort of milage that'd be in a car.
  7. Been on arbortec boots for 4 year now on 3rd party and never given any pain at all, I am on gecko s so they are a wider foot plate to spred it out. The boots do take a bit of braking in mind so they will soften with use.
  8. Worth a try for sure, thanks peatff.
  9. Waa waa waa Should have guessed by the white stick 😜
  10. Fantastic tune from a brilliant album, definitely 1 I turn to for a headphones on chill out music hit Sorry for the derail
  11. But they are skilled workers with lots of training and expensive gear aren't they...... Well at least that's what a lot of customers perceive up here still if you get my meaning. Between being lumped just above a farmer with a saw for logs we struggle with a lot of flare up company's that don't last luckily coming from army leavers starting up without a clue undervalueing the work. Don't get me wrong we do OK and have some very good clients who value what we do and are willing to pay proper rates but unfortunately not every day. If i was to start paying 2 lads 35k each a year + holiday etc I'd have to double my work load which would need more men so more wages so more work etc etc I'd also have to become the boss I don't want to be counting ever minute of brake times start times, chasing people out the yard to avoid overtime, no more we're finished at 2.30 let's go back to the yard and sharpen saws nd was van's it'd be onto another job quick quick. I've worked for companies like that and got paid for it but it's not sustainable.
  12. Only a couple of mm hole with a bit of a groove either side . How's a blind pop rivet differ from a normal 1?
  13. Sounds like a remix of a m83 song, nice used there tracks in my last video too. Good video with a brave ending sending the camera off like that 👍
  14. Good luck getting that in the north unless on for a top high flyer company with big fixt term contracts with local authorities or military. What Ben said is more likely.
  15. Looks a very handy bit of gear Ian, definitely something I'd like to ad to the fleet some day. Is it a u1000?
  16. Spotted this little Valley carved into the side of my oil tank today which looks like from where a chains come off. Any ideas on how to fix?
  17. Out of curiosity is the timber completely burnt in this system or reduced to carbon like charcoal? Nd could this byproduct be used in a conventional system?
  18. Cheers Eddie, I whole heartedly agree with that just on the basis of the cscs card crap which is the most important thing to have when walking on a site don't matter if you are qualified to do what you came for as long as you've got that. Might be the root just to tick the buricratic box to save further hassle at site induction time. Then some sod will argue that because it's fitted with a grab to lift timber I need fmoc as that's not construction.
  19. Mix of commercial stuff for highways, council and construction sites, bit of estate forestry stuff and private clients. Probably worth going for the bigger machine ticket to cover everything then. Had plenty of seat time in machines. But never needed quals but getting more work that suits this set up.
  20. Ok lurned digger operators, qualifications.... Going to be using a combination of a 3 ton and hired in 8 ton machine with my new timber grab fitted for a variety of work and occasionally will be doing bucket work for tidy up or gaining access, what should I be looking at doing ticket wise? Any advice appreciate.
  21. That'll be some big chip! Should fly through it!
  22. Estate where I did my aprentaship had a ridiculously large old tirfoe, 2 man lift to get it in the pickup even without the cable, once had it set up like you with 2 huge blocks to increase the pull to extract a very stuck Drot crawler, seem to remember if we took turns and constantly swung the handle we shifted it about 1m an hour but we got it out where others had failed. Not got 1 myself anymore but got a lugall which is very useful as well.
  23. Yeh, was a good night with a few live bands on, heads feeling it a bit thismorning!
  24. Take it the company you sub for just stand back and let you do your thing then step in once your down to do the tidy up. Brilliant colour in that timber.
