  1. Only a couple of mm hole with a bit of a groove either side . How's a blind pop rivet differ from a normal 1?
  2. Sounds like a remix of a m83 song, nice used there tracks in my last video too. Good video with a brave ending sending the camera off like that 👍
  3. Good luck getting that in the north unless on for a top high flyer company with big fixt term contracts with local authorities or military. What Ben said is more likely.
  4. Looks a very handy bit of gear Ian, definitely something I'd like to ad to the fleet some day. Is it a u1000?
  5. Spotted this little Valley carved into the side of my oil tank today which looks like from where a chains come off. Any ideas on how to fix?
  6. Out of curiosity is the timber completely burnt in this system or reduced to carbon like charcoal? Nd could this byproduct be used in a conventional system?
  7. Cheers Eddie, I whole heartedly agree with that just on the basis of the cscs card crap which is the most important thing to have when walking on a site don't matter if you are qualified to do what you came for as long as you've got that. Might be the root just to tick the buricratic box to save further hassle at site induction time. Then some sod will argue that because it's fitted with a grab to lift timber I need fmoc as that's not construction.
  8. Mix of commercial stuff for highways, council and construction sites, bit of estate forestry stuff and private clients. Probably worth going for the bigger machine ticket to cover everything then. Had plenty of seat time in machines. But never needed quals but getting more work that suits this set up.
  9. Ok lurned digger operators, qualifications.... Going to be using a combination of a 3 ton and hired in 8 ton machine with my new timber grab fitted for a variety of work and occasionally will be doing bucket work for tidy up or gaining access, what should I be looking at doing ticket wise? Any advice appreciate.
  10. That'll be some big chip! Should fly through it!
  11. Estate where I did my aprentaship had a ridiculously large old tirfoe, 2 man lift to get it in the pickup even without the cable, once had it set up like you with 2 huge blocks to increase the pull to extract a very stuck Drot crawler, seem to remember if we took turns and constantly swung the handle we shifted it about 1m an hour but we got it out where others had failed. Not got 1 myself anymore but got a lugall which is very useful as well.
  12. Yeh, was a good night with a few live bands on, heads feeling it a bit thismorning!
  13. Take it the company you sub for just stand back and let you do your thing then step in once your down to do the tidy up. Brilliant colour in that timber.
  14. One of the beers I think I liked from last night's beer festival in town, think we tried about 15 in total and only rejected 1 as not nice, something like harvest hare I think.
  15. Took some cleaning out all that sawdust and sap!
  16. Pm me what you want and I might just get it off you.
  17. Back to a bit of forestry for today Nice ride provided by the estate even if the crane is a bit flimsy compared to the botex. Ugly big edge trees that they didn't fancy smashing the walls with so I stripped the ridiculously long side branches on a few spruce before the poles get dropped on Monday once I've uncovered the bottoms from the tangle of brash iv created.
  18. Looks like you had plenty of gear to demo with, every time you post a video you get me thinking about getting a smartwinch and all the possibilitys it could open up in some of our rigging work.
  19. I was slightly disappointed when I demoed the 190, good but didn't impress like I'd hoped, definitely didn't throw the chip as well as the quadchip did and wasn't that much of a step up in performance especially for how much bigger it is. Some very good features on it like the button on the hopper to increase or drop the revs and being able to drop the belt tensioner easily when doing the blades.
  20. Nearly 50hrs on mine now and blades are still good.
  21. Nice 1 Sam, going to have to get a rench and try srt with my zigzag sometime.
  22. Necessity is the mother of all invention! And yes I am😀, I'll be putting sed socket on arbtrader shortly as now surplus to requirements 😉
  23. 10"Farmi chipper is a lot of machine for the money and good as hopper folds round to make it shorter for front mounting.
  24. Just trim 1 down with angle grinder
  25. St8 for me, fantastic machine and knocked the socks of the class competition we had on demo, Jenson 540 is probably on par with a few different features but it really comes down to what deal you can get and who you want to deal with. I personally liked the fact I was dealing directly with the manufacturer so in theory parts and problems should be sorted faster.
