  1. I don't think they are justifications more like facts. Yes I agree any work on trees is mainly bad for their health but we are doing the work for the good of the client, so yes it's poor old tee time. People usually care more about their property, sunshine and leisure time than their tree which is their right to do. As long as they are warned about the possible dangers and the outcome of topping then i don't see a problem.
  2. Certainly not going to help our Brexit deal.
  3. If it is a hung parliament it looks like no one will join with the Tories from what I can see.
  4. It should be at the top of this thread. I'm too lazy to go out and vote so I o it through the post. Looking like a hung parliament atm.
  5. Hmmm, im not convinced its that dangerous. When the wind blows what does more damage, trees wind thrown due to lack of roots be it disease or direct damage/poorly positioned or some regrowth from topped trees? I would have walked away from far too many jobs if I didnt top trees. Most of the time it is better than felling the thing which is usually the only other option.
  6. Surprised no body has put a poll up but thought I would for a bit of fun. All anonymous and nothing serious, just thought it interesting to give it a go. Apologise if your party isnt listed.
  7. Same thoughts here. A sad state of affairs it is.
  8. Actually ignore my rubbish advice as I didn't see the bit about the screw.
  9. Locate the chain tensioner into the next set of holes
  10. Go on please explain this theory of yours to me then.
  11. So why is the UK being targeted atm? Or is it happening globally? ( I admit I don't watch that much news hence my questioning) If it is just the UK then surely there is a reason which should lead to some answers and ultimately a solution.
  12. Yes the parents should feed them but in reality a lot don't. It is the responsibility for those that can to look after those in need. I cannot vote for a government who will take food away from children. It's only as I got older I realised how lucky I was as a child compared to some of the kids I went to school with. As for May not doing a live debate wtf is that all about! How can she be given any credibility at all.
  13. Ha, brilliant. I hope I dont do the same as when someone starts telling me the same story again I stop them quickly simply saying "Oh yeah I remember you saying that" Works every single time, you just have to get in there quick. It has saved me numerous days of boredom and has allowed me to spend more time on the bog. Just read the earlier news about the Katie Price tragedy, heartbreaking stuff, you just dont realise hoe bad others have it.
  14. There is a saying "if a lion could speak we could not understand him " I think that rings true with these people.
  15. Good grief! Can you not hear what many others are saying! Yes have your views but stop repeating and repeating them every other post. I very much doubt Steve wants to close threads or ban topics. So can we please have a bit of respect for the guy who pays for you to be here and calm it down a bit.
  16. Hey I prefer to be called a bad penny, although smell is probably more appropriate. I wouldn't like to see a restriction of topics on AT as I think it might do more harm than good. I do think they some people should be told to calm it down or leave. But I think the best suggestion is by eggs that maybe Steve can stop lounge topics being shown in unread posts. That should keep everyone happy.
  17. I dont understand this. Why should we have to learn to live with them? Why should we change our way of life and values ie the post about introducing halal meat into schools, utterly ridiculous. I think Mark Bolam summed up my feelings fairly well. Just because they are here to stay doesnt mean we should bend to their will or the will of any others for that matter.
  18. Full chisel, that goes for all saws imo.
  19. That is a very weird thing to think! I thought it was a natural inbuilt thing to protect the young. Given the choice I would say the vast majority (100% of the sane ones)of people would save a child over an adult. If they had to execute a child or adult they would choose the adult. Targeting a childrens pop concert is far worse than say, a Fleetwood Mac one.
  20. Which is why we need to bring back capital punishment. Think of it as a cost cutting exercise.
  21. Just seen an interview with the Father of the suicide bomber. Didnt look at all bothered that his son is in a million pieces along with a load of children. Just concerned that he thought someone was telling lies about where his son had travelled too.
  22. I Agree with all of the above as it's a good start. Far better than all this bs about uniting together and saying cr4p like life goes on.
  23. Horrible and devastating news about the attack. My thoughts and best wishes to everyone involved.
  24. I guess there must be distinguishing features to prove it's yours? Don't tell us what they are but make sure you can prove to the police it is stolen from you. Good luck and I hope you not only get it back but that there are consequences for the scum bags.
