  1. I get the same, only for a few seconds and very rarely. Always worn ear muffs. Sounds like some of you fellas suffer fairly badly.
  2. They are different questions which I and I guess you dont know the answer too. I was commenting on the fact that you said because there are people applying for a job then no body currently doing that job should get a pay rise. I thought it made no sense and wasnt a valid argument thats all.
  3. That doesn't make any sense. Surely then, no one should ever get a pay rise as there is always somebody else willing to work for less pay than you?
  4. That looks fantastic.
  5. I had to google the meaning of snowflake, its as bad as saying sheeple Anyway that is a misconception, every generation back to the year dot has complained that younger generation are weak good for nothing pussies that lacked the backbone of the forefathers.
  6. Just some normal people I suppose. Its not difficult to realise that education, health, safety and emergency services are fairly important, so are civil servants even though there is no love with them:laugh1: All jobs I wouldnt want to do and I couldnt care less if they whinge that their pensions or wages have been cut, they have a right to whinge IMO. Are you sure that all you have written above is correct? There are a hell of a lot of perks to working in the private sector and a hell of a lot more money from what I can see. All the people I know with more cash and better lifestyles dont get paid from tax payers. No one suggest a decent rag then?
  7. To be fair they do have the more important jobs and do you think if the rest of us could moan to the media we wouldn't. Talking of the media, it seems that there aren't any trustworthy news channels/papers out there so, in people's opinion what is the most reliable and unbiased news outlet? I'm thinking it's the fat bloke down the pub as it stands.
  8. Jesus thats bleak! Where are you living Afghanistan? You want to get yourself out of there and claim asylum here in the UK, there are loads of great people who would love to invite you in. Just reading through the thread and seeing the arguments about education costs. I assume most people on here are working class so why get the hump about abolishing tuition fees? Is it just sour grapes or what!
  9. A bit different from chipping but pulling ivy off walls is never my favorite dusty job. That and anything to do with London planes in the summer. Sounds like a nasty do that one RichieR.
  10. Just seen that on the news looks terrible, people still trapped in the tower block. Thoughts and best wishes to anyone there.
  11. I know from repairing AC systems on cars that the fluid does contain oil and yes it needs to settle in the compressor. Plus I think every fridge/ freezer I have bought has said to leave them upright for 24hrs after transporting.
  12. I dont know who mine is and im not looking them up (it is a Labour one) Does that make me an idiot as when I vote, I vote for the party I want to be in power rather than voting for my local MP, thats how I see it in my mind not how the system works. So, I simple one, do you vote for your local MP regardless of which party they represent or do you vote for the the party the prime minister you want in power works for? Thats a double or maybe quadruple question btw. Just trying to understand how this politics game works in case I have to vote sooner rather than later.
  13. Let's stop being silly here by beating around the bush. Obviously the only people who should be allowed to vote are those who are in full time employment, run a successful business, have a yearly wage of £250k and vote Tory. Everyone else is a low IQ grunt who doesnt deserve to speak never mind have an opinion.
  14. The way I see it running the country is a fairly important job. Make a big cock up or a stupid mistake and you should be out. Cameron's was ridiculous, no way he should have been allowed to stay. It's no no good sticking it out if you are no good at your job. May has made the country and her party look very weak, she had a majority, now she doesn't. The finish line is the finish line, it isn't sports day at the local school.
  15. That's not how it works? gulp. She should resign on the grounds she made an extremely bad decision and came off far worse which has had a seriously negative effect on the country. The pound has been dropping badly and our strength for Brexit will have weakened. I voted labour but I think May should not have called a snap election. I bit like Cameron, calling the referendum, standing against it and losing, bad decision get out, not fit to run the country.
  16. I can see a lot of protests going on. And maybe some big disaster to divert us.
  17. Indeed. Surely we don't want their policies here! They are archaic to say the least.
  18. I think the only decent thing to do is shoot them all and start again. Or just put the Queen 👑 in charge for a laugh. I think the UK is in a spot of bother now for sure.
  19. I don't think they are justifications more like facts. Yes I agree any work on trees is mainly bad for their health but we are doing the work for the good of the client, so yes it's poor old tee time. People usually care more about their property, sunshine and leisure time than their tree which is their right to do. As long as they are warned about the possible dangers and the outcome of topping then i don't see a problem.
  20. Certainly not going to help our Brexit deal.
  21. If it is a hung parliament it looks like no one will join with the Tories from what I can see.
  22. It should be at the top of this thread. I'm too lazy to go out and vote so I o it through the post. Looking like a hung parliament atm.
  23. Hmmm, im not convinced its that dangerous. When the wind blows what does more damage, trees wind thrown due to lack of roots be it disease or direct damage/poorly positioned or some regrowth from topped trees? I would have walked away from far too many jobs if I didnt top trees. Most of the time it is better than felling the thing which is usually the only other option.
  24. Surprised no body has put a poll up but thought I would for a bit of fun. All anonymous and nothing serious, just thought it interesting to give it a go. Apologise if your party isnt listed.
