  1. Sorry I meant to add bad mannered too. Did you read the first post? They didn't even apologise and move it asap. There is no excuse for being an idiot like they were. No I'm not perfect but I do take others into consideration.
  2. I don't see why lazy, inconsiderate people shouldn't be made an example of. Say there was an accident and an ambulance couldn't get to the scene, im sure it happens all the time with emergency services. There are loads of reasons not to block access but only one to do it, laziness.
  3. Only the time used while working so realistically you are no better off. Not that that's all I would claim for though, just don't tell anyone. What should happen is if you only claim for what you are entitled too you should be no better off, pound for pound self employed than employed. Well, until you start earning a fair wack then you can probably take advantage of lots of loop holes, get your duck house redecorated etc.
  4. If that's yesterday's paper then you are posting the "olds" mate, you're in the wrong thread. This is up to the minute "news" Australian plane passenger checks in can of beer - BBC News
  5. Looking at picture two it looks as though your gob is ninety degrees out. If it is and it's heavy leaning you might have a bit of trouble sorting that one out without putting another gob in facing the right way. Maybe get a few more pictures up. Not my feild of expertise as 99%of my work is climbing and I'm rubbish at felling:blushing: Just doesn't look right to me in the picture.
  6. Why not use a bowline or some other easy to untie knot? You can still use your cambium saver then. As long as the knot doesn't interfere with whatever hitch system you are using then there is no problem whatsoever.
  7. UK should end cash in hand economy I wonder how much money they will spend trying to implement and control something like this rather than tell google, Starbucks, amazon etc to pay up or get out?
  8. You probably haven't met enough 'people'. It's not my job to change people's minds after all it is their property and their right to be an ahole. Not that I agree like.
  9. Ditto. Why you need planning permission for an extension but you are free to grow 70 foot trees is as mystery too me! I have worked for plenty of inconsiderate miserable tree owner's over the years, lots of them do it just to piss the neighbours off. They will prune the trees/branches that affect them but leave everything else.
  10. I don't know about that. The fact that people think they need to order stuff 10 mins before they need it and that there are companies out there pandering to these needs means there will be a massive increase in traffic in the years to come.
  11. , although I dunno, felling them might be the safer option.
  12. seriously. This has been done to death over the years, I advise using the search button.
  13. That is well out of order. You can't blame them for not stopping the job. If I stopped feeling trees because of hysterical women there would be three more trees lining the streets now. Ridiculous.
  14. I don't know how you could cope with that, sounds ridiculous! As Steve says about ballistic jackets, no chance of me wearing those, haven't worn type c trousers for years either.
  15. I get the same, only for a few seconds and very rarely. Always worn ear muffs. Sounds like some of you fellas suffer fairly badly.
  16. They are different questions which I and I guess you dont know the answer too. I was commenting on the fact that you said because there are people applying for a job then no body currently doing that job should get a pay rise. I thought it made no sense and wasnt a valid argument thats all.
  17. That doesn't make any sense. Surely then, no one should ever get a pay rise as there is always somebody else willing to work for less pay than you?
  18. That looks fantastic.
  19. I had to google the meaning of snowflake, its as bad as saying sheeple Anyway that is a misconception, every generation back to the year dot has complained that younger generation are weak good for nothing pussies that lacked the backbone of the forefathers.
  20. Just some normal people I suppose. Its not difficult to realise that education, health, safety and emergency services are fairly important, so are civil servants even though there is no love with them:laugh1: All jobs I wouldnt want to do and I couldnt care less if they whinge that their pensions or wages have been cut, they have a right to whinge IMO. Are you sure that all you have written above is correct? There are a hell of a lot of perks to working in the private sector and a hell of a lot more money from what I can see. All the people I know with more cash and better lifestyles dont get paid from tax payers. No one suggest a decent rag then?
  21. To be fair they do have the more important jobs and do you think if the rest of us could moan to the media we wouldn't. Talking of the media, it seems that there aren't any trustworthy news channels/papers out there so, in people's opinion what is the most reliable and unbiased news outlet? I'm thinking it's the fat bloke down the pub as it stands.
  22. Jesus thats bleak! Where are you living Afghanistan? You want to get yourself out of there and claim asylum here in the UK, there are loads of great people who would love to invite you in. Just reading through the thread and seeing the arguments about education costs. I assume most people on here are working class so why get the hump about abolishing tuition fees? Is it just sour grapes or what!
  23. A bit different from chipping but pulling ivy off walls is never my favorite dusty job. That and anything to do with London planes in the summer. Sounds like a nasty do that one RichieR.
  24. Just seen that on the news looks terrible, people still trapped in the tower block. Thoughts and best wishes to anyone there.
  25. I know from repairing AC systems on cars that the fluid does contain oil and yes it needs to settle in the compressor. Plus I think every fridge/ freezer I have bought has said to leave them upright for 24hrs after transporting.
