1. Squirrel damage? Just remember to take a bucket of water with you:thumbup1: Seriously though I always look for and ask if there could be any root damage ie utility cable, pipe work, footpaths, driveways etc even if it was 5+years ago when there is die back.
2. I wonder how many would think it ok to put a family pet down by drowning it? Would save on a lot of vet fees for the injection, just bung fidos head down the bog. Being cruel to animals isn't that far a step than being cruel to humans imo.
3. Err wasnt for me. Maybe he should have burned the squirrel to death, tbh I never heard anyone who died from burning say it was a bad way to die. Come on, does anyone really think they would rather be drowned than killed instantly? I think you will find that 99.99% of people have panic and fear on their faces while they are in the process of drowning.
4. This is punishment for drowning squirrels in a previous life I think.
5. I imagine it would be the same as being narked (Nitrogen narcosis )when scuba diving.
6. Apparently so, But you will then be getting into fuel and oil costs plus the grey area of which types to use. Then to top it all off you could end up with a nasty scratch on the arm that no one will believe is real. Best to just leave the bar cover on and use the silky.
7. What people who live in Wales? Quite possibly. Although Marks suggestion about Scousers is probably closer to the truth. I did nearly drown once and I will let you know it was about as far from a pleasant experience as you can get.
8. Can't believe some of the posts here! If your going to kill an animal either kill it quick or stun it first. There's only one kind of animal that in certain circumstances needs to be tortured before it dies.
9. I think that all the cheapo oils are made from reclaimed oil so possibly better for the environment than new standard chain oil. I used cheap for years with no more noticeable wear on chain, bar sprockets etc. Only using anti fling stuff because it worked out about the same price(when the price of oil rocketed!) but less frequent trips to the shop when its a 45 gallon drum.
10. 6 months for half a chain! Is that with the engine running.
11. A few times with 020s, nothing dramatic. They usually just fly off the end of the bar, never to be seen again!
12. I wouldn't want to use one off them and I sure as fook wouldn't want anyone I was responsible for using one either. It looked quick at chipping but the messing about throwing the brash in without getting clobbered soon slowed it all down.
13. Well she silenced me for more than 5 mins, I fell asleep after 30 seconds.
14. Thats what I was going to suggest.
15. Happy Birthday. A big congrats to the moderators and Mr B.:congrats:
16. As above the low vibe wont cut as well. IMO there isnt enough vibes from the chain to bother getting low vibe.
17. Yep old people are just bonkers. Good job he didnt knock you out. Never respect your elders, the older they are the more pissed off they are.
18. I suppose he has a bit more sense than some in that he has removed the dangerous bit while messing about with a saw that he has no clue about(which he also admits to). A lesser man would give it to someone else to fix. Was still a good chuckle though.
19. Must just be the photo then because it looks like a full chisel chain thats in need of a good sharpen to me. Not doubting you btw.
20. No I meant the tach not the saw. Heres a pic from the other thread. Says tach will do 19,900rpm.

VAT Rise

Silly me. There should be an option to abolish VAT altogether. How on earth I can add value by butchering a syc is beyond me.
22. I can see we are on a roll here chaps and ready to take on the farming world:thumbup1: haytalk.com has a nice ring to it:thumbup1: Noooooo it already excists. Someone has nicked my idea!!!!!!!!!
23. No it doesnt, well mine goes higher than that anyway, upto 19,000rpm I think.
24. Definitely on the road and can be helpful for the climber to easily and quickly spot the groundsman wondering into the drop zone looking at his boots:001_rolleyes: As for climbing nope, unless its wet and cold and its the only warm coat you have in the truck.
25. Sounds like I need to get into the hay making business:w00t: Can someone please advise me on... What equipment do I need? Where to buy it at the cheapest price? How much land do I need? Who has available land by me? How much will it be? How do I advertise to sell it? Can I use someone elses photos of them at work as I have none? How much money can I make? An finally how do I do it? Thanks in advance:thumbup1: Actually can someone just do it all for me then hand it over for me to run?
