1. Check out the HTC Desire its coming to orange in April. Looks good.
2. I remember Mr Miyagi doing that to a damaged bonsai in Karate Kid.
3. Could also be the crankcase seals drawing in air, as you rotate the saw the crank can slide in and out of the seals a bit. Would deffo try the all the mentioned above first though, rubber to carb, fuel pipe and pipe from crankcase to carb(well handle actuallly then carb)
4. I guess if that was a real steel ball it would weight around 20 ton by the size of it. 1 cube of steel weighs 7.5 ton that gotta be at least 3 cube. The car woulda been dust.
5. Its gotta be either a setup or a very good photoshop. Surely that wrecking ball woulda just passed straight through the car as if it wasnt there.
6. Good job it hit the car or the pedestrians bought have bought it:sneaky2:
7. Someone has some big cajones keeping that tree standing! Lets hope it doesnt fail while some poor buggers underneath it!
8. Also an inboard cut has more chance of causing a tear but less chance of catching the saw. Opposite with outboard. (Inboard top cut close to tree)
9. I beg to differ there. Post 4 looks way over 40% to me.
10. At least they wont be able to contribute to the gene pool now. Lifes too short to not hate and not wish bad things on scum bags.
11. Was probably nicked before I even closed the lid on the tool box!
12. Trees do sometimes need me to prune them. Otherwise they would be sent to the great firewood pile in the sky. Okay pruning no matter how much or little it is, isnt any good for the tree but I bet the tree would prefer it to being felled. I've saved a few trees that would have been doomed but sent more to there grave though!

Good to hear the op worked:thumbup1: Yeah heard about that on here, looks like quite a few people get it unfortunately I used to get aching fingers and hands when I first started this job, had it for quite a couple of years IIRC. Mines the other bit the little finger and half of ring finger so hopefully not CTS!

Not from what I have been told. Can't see the piston getttin any place near the carb bod iom.. I hear it somthing to do with the fuel injection mec that has been modified that causes the prob. I have no great writeing comunication skills so I apolagise for that but I asure you from what I have seen/done & told the £10 bit works in imo. Fuel pump chrome where out an all that... Sry I should have said pump piston, I dont mean the piston in the cylinder, this bit

I get that but I thought it was more to do with trapping the ulnar nerve, although with me its just usually the little and ring finger that gets pins and needles.
19. I just meant that I think you would have to remove very little to not let a lot more sun into the tree. I dont think that the sun hitting dormant buds triggers them into growing. Surely its just the tree reacting and producing more leaf area and the best p[lace to do that is where the sun is hitting rather than the other way around.Or a combo of both. Otherwise when a limb is removed there would be loads of epicormic where the new hole is in the tree and there usually isnt much regrowth its its a good NTP cut etc.

Just for future reference whats the cost on a new new carb? I thought the problem was the piston was wearing the carb body as well as failing itself so it was a new carb not just the piston to get a complete repair.

22. Hmmm dunno about that. I think you would have to remove a very small amount to not increase the amount of sun by a considerable amount. I thought that the increase in epicormic after heavy pruning is just the tree increasing its leaf area since it doesnt really want to stay small and doesnt care about blocking any light out:001_smile:

Buy one of the old carbs that dont have the little piston bit that causes the problem. IIRC cost about £70 new but that was 3 years ago or more and it has been brilliant:thumbup1: You have to modify the plastic piece that the air filter bolts to but its easily sorted, or you can just buy a new old style one. Also less chance of knackering the pot and piston using the older carbs I think.

RA and MS

Can I ask what you fill in/add to your RA. Theres no way I'm goiig to be little my men by saying oh watch out for falling branches timber , ohh the chipper infeed hopper, ohh dont trip on a log, dont touch the nasty saw, blah blah blah etc. Doing a Rupe so dont take it personal.
25. Just looking at it again it would be one of those nightmare section fells over at least 6 gardens.Just rig out the 20 odd limbs from here, move to garden D cut an chuck them fellas then drop the rest in garden G, blow up and do a runner.
