1. 0K But then I don't own any property.
2. Excellent!! Who do I give a load of cash to every 3 months then? Is everyone getting all their machinery checked by an independent, trained and certified person? I do it myself on a more regular basis:sneaky2:
3. Well I could see the number of TPO'd trees increasing a bit. Surely no good will come of it for the contrator or the client. As wildwood-dwt said, what do my rates pay for exactly?
4. Well probably not since I'm sure most of us know the possible consequences of free climbing, using a top saw one handed etc etc, so further training wouldnt really make a difference imo. Well while they are at it why not inspect and charge me to make sure I'm maintaining the chainsaws, blowers, hedgetrimmers, strimmers, stumpgrinder, wood chipper, trailer etc etc? From what I can gather poor maintenance of machinery results in more accidents than the failure of climbing kit. BTW I'm certainly not suggesting that we do bring something in were machinery does need inspecting every 6 months! Although I bet it happens sooner or later!
5. 1st aid tree surgeons. " A cut above the rest"
6. It's just depressing to start hearing about this run up to christmas annual theft business:thumbdown: Good to hear they didn't nick anything and I hope you waste your time installing that alarm, if you know what I mean. Hope everyones gear stays safe and remember we can all do our bit by not evening thinking about buying knock off stuff.
7. Are there many accidents due to kit failing? Out of all the people I know who have had accidents in arb not one has been due to failure of rope, crab harness etc. An before you say loller must be working I know that none of them bother with inspections:001_tongue:
8. Ah right yeah missed that bit somehow. Yep that is out of order poaching work. I still stand by my comment on undercutting though.
9. Step ladders eh, the gayest of all ladders.
10. Surely undercutting is when they know your price then Undercut it. Otherwise he,s just pricing the job cheaper than you were. So the way I see he hasn't done anything wrong tbh. Well apart from doing a very cheap job. I'd be cheaper than all of you and I know others who would be cheaper than me.
11. Sorry Steve no help I'm afraid and dont wish to derail but I had to!! An I bet you have another pic that has a MEWP in the background.
12. Errrrrrr think I'll just keep my blower if it's all the same .
13. What was it called again? Actually I have some of that that I use it for hedge trimmer blades, I thought it was just a lube not a cleaner. Another good use for it now though thanks.
14. You know what the best thing to clean a crab with? Petrol. It dissolves all dirt and resins. Let it dry out then a bit of graphite grease. Although it could damage any plastic parts so best not to use it. Actually is there a solvent cleaner that can be safely used with crabs?
15. "A BEWSEY man took an extreme approach to landscaping his back garden when he asked four men to pull a tree down using a car" Love the way papers report stories. Just 4 random blokes with a car?
16. 42...
17. Yeah Yeah. I know your a closet ladder user. I bet you have a sneaky little double rung one hidden under the bed that you whip out and have a little climb on when the missus is out.
18. Second that. Works wonders.

Fray Bentos

I found a 'Tender' just steak and a 'Boozy' steak and ale. Although since I'm getting fat its diet time! So I'm sticking to wotsits, kitkats and some thorton chocs washed down with a few guest beers:thumbup1: Well until I slim down to the physique of these guys anyway. Mmmmm I'm sure I have one or two knocking about at the back of the cupboard.....
21. I saw a lecture with Ray Mears and even had a little chat with him:thumbup: I like the idea of roughing it but I just cant stand the cold either

not happy

Did they get paid? If so I assume the client was happy with the work and damage. Just see if they want it repairing and charge accordingly:001_huh: Although I would bump up the costs for sorting out another contractors mess.

My Day

If he was a proper old geezer he woulda been havin a right old moan at all the racket you were making! Probably will keep him going for a bit longer yet. As for the feather, nice in thought.
24. Excellent stuff, a job well done. MEWP's maybe for girls but ladders are for men.
25. Go on then...since its you. Although in my native tongue it means something very different:scared1: couldnt really say in an open forum but it involves a couple of midgets and a bucket of soppy frogs!!
