1. Was just wondering how they do their splicing? Ie something like yale XTC they seem to keep the core intact inside the eye. How do they do it?
2. Sounds good. What type of oregon did you used to use?
3. Scary stuff indeed! Some very poor comments by people there.
4. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFUEgFdP5zE]YouTube - INXS - Mediate[/ame]
5. Surely there is only one poll? And no one has guessed what it is yet!
6. Ladders for me . Only because its probably better aroarboricultural practice than spiking and friction damage caused by line throwing, rather than it being easier. Its only other tree workers that frown upon ladders, clients couldnt give a monkeys.
7. Shameless:001_rolleyes: It sounds like you need a new tank. Take a few pics and post them on here.
8. I voted for stihl v husky as its an arb forum and more relevant to me. Besides anything with landy or toymota in the thread title is simply easy to ignore by not opening it.
9. Sounds like they are worth the money then. Whether I can still part with the cash though is another thing.
10. Are they that good? I was looking at the stretch air ones but at £40 a pop that would be £200 worth of t shirts for the week!
11. Congrats to all of you. Not forgetting the docs and nurses.
12. How could anyone for get your mother!!!
13. Anyone that advertises Katie Price and Kerry Katona should be shot and buried. Honestly does anyone care if they take another breath? Although the most annoying thing of the 21st century is the garbage that is pop idol/xfactor/britains got talent/celebrity on ice/strictly come dancing/so you think you can dance, crap. Anyone who votes for the above needs a well good slapping.
14. You need to ask them. If its just a conservation area and not under tpo then a quick email with the details should sort it out.
15. When I get chest coughs/infections they seem to last an age. Not had one for awhile though thankfully.
16. Felled a dead one, seen plenty more that look dead but also a few that have no signs at all of frost damage. Wonder if its certain species that are more susceptible?
17. I was looking at the husky as it does seem to be a nice saw and they MUST have got it right by now! But, they squared off the back end and the new stihl is now rounded(which was my major gripe with the 020)! If only husky and stihl would send me one to try out. Otherwise I'm going for the AMA top handle.
18. Some info for those asking what the specs are. PLEASE NOTE!! The Husky specs and pic are from the Husqvarna web site but the MS201T pics and spec are lifted from posts in Arbtalk so they might not be offical(no offense Steve:001_smile:)
19. Hmmm I may see if I can get this poll amended
20. Well before you all sigh like a big elephant, I'm talking hypothetically. So it does have a slight twist. MS201T V T540xp. Which are you thinking of buying?
21. Mesterh

T540xp

That sounds fairly poor since it did look like it had a lot going for it. Seemed to have plenty of power though so surprised at the comments! What glitches BTW?
22. Your not being shafted! Surely you can walk away and find work elsewhere at any time.
23. I reckon it depends on where you are based or willing to travel to for a kick off. With the amount of emails and calls I get from lads asking for work I bet there are loads working for less than £90 a day. I was getting £100 but that was 3 years ago. Although I am crap.
24. Ahhh right off a tractor, I've seen them on the telly.
25. Errrr, what's a top link?
