1. Not a poll to ask "Which is the best harness" a poll to ask what harness do you have now. I'm going for sheer numbers rather than opinions which is where it gets all complicated, ie what you have now might not be what you prefer or would buy. If its not in the poll a quick post with the manufacture/model will do. Discuss if you like but I imagine most have got bored of this type of thread/poll but if not, knock your self out. Ill start with, Treeflex.
2. Doesnt look like a very well seasoned log. I would hazard at a guess that a Swedish log would be cut from softwood therefore being a bit better suited than hardwood. I remember seeing a web site that sold these, they had a hole bored in from the side to make a draft.
3. I would say that a dead tree in close proximity to people is quite a bit of a danger. It WILL drop limbs, so I would use that as an excuse/ahem, reason to remove it and replant. Replant being the most important bit there.
4. Read about this the other day. Possibly the most idiotic thing I have read in a long time. Will be signing that petition.
5. I dont think ive ever seen one, well not outside a zoo anyway.
6. An there was me hoping to see a pic of a Swedish girl with a brazilian.: What a let down:thumbdown:
7. Buy a new bar and if you keep it away from the soil it will last years.
8. With regards to the bars I would say go with stihl. You HAVE to grease the oregon bars you dont with the stihl and they last a ridiculous amount of time so its not even worth considering the savings imo.
9. Use the right oil ie 10-30 10-40 no thicker, dont overfill the oil, dont tip it over.
10. Did sound like he made a good few points until the poplar incident. It came across fairly badly from then on unfortunately. I mean, who has any use for an arboriculturalist with velcro legs?
11. If they just filled in the small bit of plastic they removed then it would all be good.
12. Cheers for the info. But, chainsaw gloves are probably the most pointless bit of PPE ever!
13. Wouldnt it bother you though if you put the app in then the client uses someone else to carry out the work? IME if they wont pay for the app they will also want the tree work doing for next to nothing.
14. Chainsaw, combi spanner and a file.About as basic as it gets. You can do a lot with the above.: I wouldnt bother buying chainsaw gloves though.
15. Cool. Looks like they've made the fuel/oil caps idiot proof now.
16. Nice vid and nice gear. You have way more patience than me, there is no way I could of done that, I woulda died of boredom up that tree. Small chogs very quickly.Or you could have just passed them down on the last bit. Sounds like you had to do it though.
17. Why not just put an app in and charge the customer for it. When the spec comes back quote for the work. If its a decent paid job you could say you will knock the app price off the tree work quote if you get it.
18. Has it got any service history? That should have the mileage recorded each time it was serviced.
19. "'My evil plan to flood the east coast with cheap sushi is almost complete,Muhahaha, Muhahaha."
20. That makes no sense whatsoever! Big tax bills are good.
21. Thats what I was taught. Although it was more of a problem with delicate plants.
22. Ive watched mythbusters and they recon you cant fake the moon landings. Unless that was a conspiracy too!
23. Bonide Excellent:thumbup: Plus they also stock this which would be handy(and quite cost effective too:sneaky2:) Bonide
24. I wouldn't try anything else other than a stump grinder, which is designed just for that task. The clue is in the name. Will easily do that job.
25. Ask this bloke he knows which is best. Plus you will look just as stylish. BUY A BELT!!!
