  9. personally i prefer oregon....e1 to their own
  10. ask jpbeaver, his mate converts cordwood into wood pellets for boilers with a specialised machine
  11. so what u rather do, let it die from starvation or pneumonia on the hill, as for trophy hunting, it has probably been picked out for culling, why not take some rich ***** money for shooting it rather than the keeper doing it. As for carcase at the side of road, i, it sometimes easier to drag it to the side of road than drag back through the wood, then drive round and pick it up. Venison fillet steaks
  12. craigmmarloch trade only keep the riff raff out too LOL
  13. i use them robert but mainly for larger stuff, better using growing nursery like Alba trees for hedge whips etc
  14. uk timber prices are dictated by Eastern European imports, Fc have no control over this, wood is an global commodity like grain, beef etc, if european prices are £100 cubic metre sawn delivered in, then Uk mills have to match it to stay in business. The trouble is they have better quality timber than we can grow. The Fc have been selling off plantations over the past 20 years through goverment legislation, seems like the treasury need to claw back some money and cashing in some more woods. Theres money growing on them trees
  15. thats the way i have always delimbed trees, the secret is the weight of the saw is on the tree much of the time

  18. whats wrong with a small plant trailer.........handy to move other things about when u dont need track chipper like this 1 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/plant-trailer-mini-digger-/160487091055?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item255dc6ab6f
  19. sry Dadio u aint doing that cut correctly, if u make the cut perpendicular to the ground, theres no need to undercut, the theory being as u cut dowm thru the stem , the top cut closes and then releases the pressure as u come out the bottom i.e not pinching the bar. Was shown that cut way back in the 80s by my nptc instructor from Mauchline, its handy but cant say i use it that often
  20. i take it if u have sky, espn will be showing free this weekend, no need to do anything it will just come on?
