  1. My favourite tree too. Weed of the wood is actually the Beech
  2. u wouldnt be calling them weeds if u had a rippled sycamore butt.....sycamore has many uses especially top quality furniture, also used for bread and butchers cutting board as its doesnt stain the meat. the probelm with the sycamore is ability to self seed better than any other tree.

    go for the husky 395.its well balanced not to heavy like 088/3120 and got bags of power g

  7. another plus being vat reg. it helps ur cash flow saves u dipping into the red with the bank, extra 17 1/2% helps. as long u have good paying on time clients. g
  8. found the probelm.........a loose spade connection in relay box.....relays ok...took the wires out connected direct to relays and everything working now, tightened them up for now, better replace spades i think. ty all for ur help g

  11. remember the climbing is always the easiest and quickest part....the clearing up is the hardest part. esp. on conifers. try and work out the man days and the chipper cost and the cost of removal of waste/wood and it helps if u can add good too.....good luck mate
  12. checkout the coporate wear in http://www.daleswear.co.uk the orange goretex(tilhil) rainjacket. i have used 1 its excellent. its got a high neck collar stops raining coming n when climbing......priced around 65+vat g

  20. well make sure u hav aerial rescue person/climber as back up, got to do everthing by the book and the extra money too LOL G
  21. http://www.bats.org.uk/ u find training courses etc here....... i did a bat survey on 8 dead chestnuts a few months ago but i had qualified bat surveyor on the ground pointing out the places he wanted checked out.......lantra do an arborist bat awareness course but it doesnt qualify u 2 do surveys g
  22. ive got a set of jameson pole pruners with a silky blade fitted its very good, used this week, clearing the re growth up to 15 ft on avenue of 40 limes.
  23. just bought the firebelly fb2 real nice looker with back boiler, already a openfire with back boiler and 6 radiators hopefully should be 2 much trouble changing over, goin to line the chimmney though. g
  24. after reading ur threads about dodgy carbs n 200t i quizzed my local dealer who gav me the stihl techician phone number (pete). after 10 mins of badgering him he finally said get ur dealer to check if its a "d " carburettor and get them to phone me. round 2 monday morning
