  2. have a stake chapper or using a hammer, 200 each should no problem. do a 100 at time we usually have 1 planting, other 2 lying out the stakes and tubing, u will soon get it into a rhythm
  3. i saw 1 at german forestry show, it was burning green chip, finnish make, maybe Veto...it came in around £7000 ....outside hopper, green chip tended to give off a bit of steam. I am sure there is an importer in the UK

  10. . i.e. just dragging in branches etc without stopping to build the revs back up. sounds like the anti stress box not working. £6000 for replacing the flywheel sounds excessive. does sound like metal has gone in. but u should have had a set of wasted blades somewhere when this happened. maybe another squad has covered their tracks by changing blades and keeping quiet.
  11. really u should looking to thin out under canopy trees, about 1 n 5 first time, and thin again in about 5 to 6 years time, and so on.

  17. maybe one for Big Tree Talk........you know its starts with i straight felled a 30ft beech and soon gets to a 150ft pine leaning against a church wall, had to fell it between 2 gravestones and finished 6 inches from the Greenhouse:thumbup: keep the good work up Steve

    done a windfirming job, 8000 trees over 2 years, we were just topping crop for pheasant rearing pens, the remaining trees around were then felled over a number of years. dont think they got much bigger than 80ft at best and were close enough most of the time to sway across and tie on to. JPBeaver had the record of 66 in a day but urs truly did him on the last day with 72. was amazing with 15feet off the top how the crop stood still compared to the surronding trees. nice vid mate

  21. it isnt oiling probably............check that theres a filter on end of oil hose n oil tank. turn up oil screw, if that doesnt work, empty oil, puts some petrol n, put cap back on...may flush out crap. or take off oil pump, clean all pipes and re assemble, dont sure what turns the oil pump on 44, but check to see threads or lever are doing their job.
