  2. u should try Tilhill offices at thirsk or newcastle they always looking for dumping sites and its free

  6. a friend of mine sister was married to Andy Robbins the wrestler, he had Hercules the bear, it starred in a few Bond films and went walkabout in the Herbrides, they had a pub in Sheriffmuir. Met them a few times the bear was huge and so was Andy, he looked hard and that was enough for me. Was a great guy though

  9. not hawthorn. wood goes dark red colour when felled. The rough bark isnt always a clue , but looking at heartwood i go for a type of maple...... possibly norway maple

  14. ty all for ur suggestions secateurs and silky, hoe and spade, used the secateurs and silky to cut through the middle of it, and used the spade to prise it away from wall, and the hoe to reach the high bits. stood on the ifor williams canopy of the l200 for the higher bits , worked a treat.....worked my way around the ivy with the spade and hoe, managed to get most of it off in 2 bits. a bit fiddly around the down pipe.

    ok guys got a small job removing ivy off a 15 year old house, pretty dense stuff, best ideas how to remove it g
  17. john deere ponsse and valmet are all good heads, and have several sizes, they all go on different kinds of base.. Ponsse is at Lockerbie, valmet is at Longtown near Carlisle, john deere is at carlisle. Pick their brains, they all plenty of second hand heads. Nokka also do a small thinnings head
