  1. High-Performance HeatGreen Home Heating System Version 3a came across this, not sure how practical this is, or if anyone on here as tried to build 1, but would seem a good way to heat a workshop and get rid of some green waste......sawdust, lawn and hedge cuttings etc

  7. i taken it u mean hardwood woods are unmanaged because of poor access and site conditions..........only guessing here but i would think that over 90% of wood going to biomass is softwood..ie coming from FC and the other woodland managemnt companies, generally their woods are well managed and accessible, though sometimes a fair distance to the mill. At the end of the day wood is worldwide commodity and prices of homegrown timber can only rise to a level thats equal to imported timber.
  8. weld bolt to torx head .......as u turned the bolt, have some1 using hammer and chisel to knock torx head round at the same time
  9. if u just want to break up rings...........cant u use an axe head or splitter knife attached to bottom of bobcat bucket . and hit them in 2......extra weight n bucket would help?
  10. 1 cubic round should fill 1 1/2 bags......26 tons should get about 40 bags...........if that helps,,,,sell by bags filled loose not by weight in bag

  16. the german economy will keep the euro afloat....as far i can make out if all the countries revert to their old currency the deutchmark would be 20% higher and would be make german industries uncompetitive when exporting

  18. i dont know why everyone going on about dual purpose.....its any vehicle up to 3.5 laden doesnt need a tacho.....u dont count ur trailer if its under 1025kg some of the heavy 4x4s with heavy tracked chippers may go over the limit
  19. You may be allowed to drive a minibus if it is not used for hire or reward. Hire or reward generally means any payment in cash or kind made by or on behalf of passengers that gives them right to be carried in a vehicle. hire and reward means getting paid to take an item form A to B.......not using when to get to work

  22. so transit tipper pulling an 1100kg tracked chipper on a trailer will be ok
  23. as far as i can make out........if u pull a trailer weighing under 1000kg unladen...... this unladen weight does not count towards gross laden weight of vehicle and chipper.....so as long as the laden weight is under 3.5tonnes u dont have to has an operators license?

  25. the husqvarna 440 is a nice size to start with, husqvarna or stihl both make good saws, i personally prefer Husqvrana for groundwork
