  1. ask jpbeaver, his mate converts cordwood into wood pellets for boilers with a specialised machine
  2. there only £3 each
  3. so what u rather do, let it die from starvation or pneumonia on the hill, as for trophy hunting, it has probably been picked out for culling, why not take some rich ***** money for shooting it rather than the keeper doing it. As for carcase at the side of road, i, it sometimes easier to drag it to the side of road than drag back through the wood, then drive round and pick it up. Venison fillet steaks

  5. i use them robert but mainly for larger stuff, better using growing nursery like Alba trees for hedge whips etc
  6. uk timber prices are dictated by Eastern European imports, Fc have no control over this, wood is an global commodity like grain, beef etc, if european prices are £100 cubic metre sawn delivered in, then Uk mills have to match it to stay in business. The trouble is they have better quality timber than we can grow. The Fc have been selling off plantations over the past 20 years through goverment legislation, seems like the treasury need to claw back some money and cashing in some more woods. Theres money growing on them trees
  7. thats the way i have always delimbed trees, the secret is the weight of the saw is on the tree much of the time

  11. sry Dadio u aint doing that cut correctly, if u make the cut perpendicular to the ground, theres no need to undercut, the theory being as u cut dowm thru the stem , the top cut closes and then releases the pressure as u come out the bottom i.e not pinching the bar. Was shown that cut way back in the 80s by my nptc instructor from Mauchline, its handy but cant say i use it that often

  19. used to have major problems with my stihl exhaust bolt holes, but only use huskies on the ground now , if u dont catch a rattling bolt straight away, then it is forever coming loose, hoilicoiling the bolt hole is usually the best answer. gl

  21. The Pope comes to Glasgow and asks "Anyone with 'special needs' who wants to be prayed over, please come forward to the front by the altar." With that, wee Brendon got in line, and when it was his turn, the Pope asked, "My son, what do you want me to pray about for you?" Wee Brendon replied, "Your Holiness, I need you to pray for help with my hearing." The Pope put one finger of one hand in Brendon’s ear, placed his other hand on top of his head, and then prayed and prayed and prayed. He prayed a great prayer for Brendon, and the whole congregation joined in with great enthusiasm. After a few minutes, the Pope removed his hands, stood back and asked, "Brendon, how is your hearing now?" Wee Brendon answered, "Ah don't know. It's no' 'til next week....."
  22. had a few big pines maybe 3 1/2 cubic, back in the last big blow, they were lying nearlyon the ground into garden over a fence, we used a kockums with an igland 8000, attached the cable near the top, pulled them up straight and then directionally felled into the wood, wasnt as hard as u would think
