  1. So you don't have any tats then TCD? Haha.
  2. So for the record what cut do you want your desciples to try..? Personally I don't reckon you would be me. I am a Jedi and have you seen the speed a lightsaber cuts?
  3. From Past experiences the original poster is probably sat at home lording it over the idiots offering advice. If he is for real then, yes it is a difficult place to be in and shouldn't be mocked. As is if it is a wind up it is even lower. Only Butler will know and the fact he started a thread and then never came back to it leads me (and others) to think its a wind up.
  4. Sadly it would appear so. A low thing to do just after the baby Jesus' birthday.
  5. Good luck. Never seen anyone look emaciated at 16 stone. They call that ripped mate...
  6. Decoying, far better and those clay bits get stuck between your teeth. When you going Mick?
  7. Must admit I thought the same. I thought I would give it the benefit of the doubt. It would be a bit low if it was a wind up. Especially from a religious man.
  8. Well the picture looks as though there is approx 3 inches of plate above the bollard. Whereas, there looks to be 5-6 inches below the bollard. It doesn't look directly centred.
  9. No, to me it looks like the winch is directly centrally mounted on the base plate. Both the other designs are ofset , winch, bollard towards the top and mounted towards the bottom.
  10. Stevo is such a pot head!
  11. SP1, you put it so much better than I.
  12. Could possibly say mate without seeing it in the flesh and having a go/ testing it. I am not an engineer, far from it, but if I was to try and emulate a product on the market, which has had extensive design and testing. I would have made my copy a bit closer to their design.
  13. If you take a look at the pictures you will see the design is different. Now if there was another piece, connected directly to the plate the winch/bollard is connected to then it may look similar. As it stands IMO it looks very different.
  14. Exercise, sell the range rover and get a bike, go back to climbing more. (Sorry I don't know much of your situation) Basically, all things medical considered, if you are in good health, just use more callories than you take in. Result is weight loss. Good luck, now is the time to start.
  15. I think what they are trying to say mate is that the GRCS and Hobbs are designed with the winch towards the top. The ratchet straps towards the bottom, when loaded will force the bollard/winch part into the tree. Where as yours with the 2 ratchet straps will be evenly held against the tree. When loaded the force will be vertical which could increase the likely hood of failure. The other 2 designs, when loaded, transfer a proportion of that load into the trunk of the tree. I think that is what Scotspine1 was referring to.
  16. Happy chrimbo [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tckas-oWZg0&feature=player_embedded]Kongsak Sitboonmee vs Singthongnoi Por Telakoon - Rajadamnern Stadium 24th December 2012 - YouTube[/ame]
  17. a couple of children. 1, 18 month old, the other 1 came out in chickenpox today. need I go further...
  18. That Paul fella from Cheshire. He wont like it now as he's been outed. I do reckon he quite revels in the grumpy old man routine. :001_tt2:
  19. Rope guide pics. Large soft eye held open by about 8cm of 8mm nitrile industrial bearing seal. It doesn't have as much memory as the bike lock version but it appears ok. We all know the truth will be in the pudding... Merry Xmas.
  20. Looks like an average week there mate... Where in Bilsdale are you? My old dear grew up on a farm nr Fangdale Beck. Pretty close to Chopgate. Some nice pics by the way.
  21. Who cares. Some say "tomato", others say "tomato"!
  22. My dad just picked up a Tassimo t20 from tesco for 54 knicker. He is lazy and loves convenience. Suppose it is a step up from the Nescafé instant he's been on for the last 30 odd years.
  23. I hardly ever reduce and thin at the same time. Even when the sheet says so. Once you have removed the ends of the branches you want as much leafy matter available for the tree to recover.
