  1. Who do you work for mate. PM me if you like. Might be an idea to list the kit - Ill keep my eyes out.
  2. Sorry to hear that mate, all too many wrong un's around Orpington.
  3. Just bang em up in a 'stihlmad' thread.
  4. Paul, I am not too far from Guildford. Sorry but don't know too many companies over that way. If I can do anything to help when you arrive then give me a shout. Take it easy and good luck with the move. Rich.
  5. What tree is it you are dismantling with the crane?
  6. Good job mate.
  7. Nail on the head there Marc. I seem to recall Graeme or Angus explaining the thought process behind that job and that the first time he climbed the tree he only dared to climb so far as it felt unsafe. Went away and planned, planned and planned some more. When he came back he executed the plan and as you can see it went well. He didn't turn up blind and do the the job for a half arsed company who threatened him disciplinary action for coming down the first time.
  8. So how did this pan out? Facts from the op please.
  9. Good work on the apprentice Benn. One of mine from a couple of months ago. [ame] [/ame]
  10. Just don't cut by your feet then!
  11. Pretty good!
  12. I am from Stockton on Tees but live a long way away from there at the moment. Sorry.
  13. Armor Pruss.
  14. I was told exactly the same by an ex VW Motor Technician. Two turbos to provide the towing ability will be the the death of the 2.0l.
  15. Just got a text back from Mick - His moby is 07758 585805 I wouldn't call him tonight though, wait till the morning or Monday. Hope this helps.
  16. I have sent Mick a sms letting him know your request. Hopefully he will get in touch. Sorry but I don't like giving people's mobile numbers out without asking them first. But he used to have his website on his signature. I would have thought his details would be on there.
  17. Good work James. Still body thrusting I see Are your 'Spansh Archers' not knackered yet?
  18. So Ty, how do you work that? Do you mean that if some one approached you for a climber for the day you get a freelancer in take his rate and then add the bits you mentioned on top? I once had a guy do exactly that, except he bartered me down as he said my rate was too high. I accepted at the time only to find out he pimped me out at the same rate I asked for in the first place.
  19. If it is just small shunts to a higher limb etc then i would probably put into pantin and then advance the bone by hand. More often than not I can't be arsed with that so I just pull myself up on the rope and then tend as though it was a vt on a HC climber system. I know this isn't ergonomical but it is a habit I need to get out of.
  20. Ditto, Mick is your man - he is based in Rainham. Mark is in Hamstreet, not exactly local but closer than Suffolk.
  21. I used to have trouble pulling the Bone up the rope. Now after a good wash it does the job itself. [ame] [/ame]
  22. My Cougar blue had milked about 3 inches off a 46 metres rope. It is the first rope that has ever milked on me, never had any other do it. I should chop of the end and reseal but the floppy end is a bit of a novelty so I'm keeping it! Oh and I washed mine today, it was so dirty I actually forgot how the braid and pattern was. It feels as good as new now in the Bulldog bone.
  23. Not got a rope runner yet or climbed on one but have a Bulldg bone. Very nice to climb on so far and getting better each time. Probably a combination of getting used to the sensitivity and the ropes and device running in.
  24. All good information mate.
  25. I just have the standard curved mount on my alveo vent lid. Got one at the front for the lopro mount and a regular teletubby positioned mount. The one one the top gives a better field of vision but it feels less top heavy when mounted on the front.
