  1. So you think they are "slow" or of low IQ, as opposed to just cruel or in humane? "Retard" is a pretty offensive term and those that fall into this bracket deserve our sympathy not scorn. IME people of low IQ tend to be some of the kinder and more humane people you will meet.
  2. Quite right too!!!! Shame trade shows aimed at just us feel its OK to shaft us for the pleasure of spending money on gear The discounts used to mean it was worthing paying, but those days are gone, I gave the APF a miss for the first time last year (been going to them for 20 odd years) I'm not sure I'll ever pay for a trade show again, it stinks!!
  3. I enjoy it most when I'm making good money
  4. Get the stuff sold. You were charging far, far to little when you were using them, IMO.
  5. When did having a drink become a crime? I think the point being made is the hypocrisy.
  6. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/picture-forum/12225-lunge-thread.html
  7. I've never lived alone, but I remember when we were married at first we were proper skint. My Mrs baked all our bread and I got spuds and carrots from the dairy farm next door, they were the big misshaped ones the supermarkets rejected, the cows liked them. We did our entire weekly shop with £25.
  8. You can get 1KG of chicken breast from tesco for under £4 pounds and 1KG of rice for under £1 (dry weight) I reckon that would produce at least 8 portions (wet weight)
  9. There will be plenty of healthy people who buy cheap cuts of meat, prepare their own veg, etc and eat very well for very little. Some people are fat and lazy, but its their doing, no one else's.
  10. Exactly!!!
  11. I don't buy that. The junk food manufactures are making big profits, so the ingredients in the products cost pennies. You can buy good simple food very cheaply, it takes more time to prepare, but is a better meal once completed. People always find someone else to blame for their failures.
  12. Or were possibly able to retire on the money you had paid them
  13. :congrats: People are very keen to call for changes that they feel will not really affect them, but don't want stop flying, driving etc
  14. How do you get 165HP without a turbo?
  15. Oh dear, off road or on?
  16. Do they make trailers of this type?
  17. If people are reasonable a £200 job is better handled personally, but as its gone bad that may be the way to go:thumbdown: Why do some people these days always look for a chance to cash in
  18. Which return are you using? a direct return to the tank may help or as mentioned previously is the switch block working correctly.
  19. Good stuff as ever Reg!!! I have the very same attitude to you when it comes customers, its not just about the money, its about standing by your word and delivering what you sold them at the quote. Pays dividends long term, IME
  20. IMO, yes
  21. That does sound excessive!, but then it is a very large and unusual bearing, as its on the outside of the cutting wheel (well at least I think it much be) if the oil flow is kept correct I would have thought they will have a long life? I hope so anyway, as I have just bought a Bilke.
  22. I "assumed" nothing, I was simply giving an opinion. I'm not "precious" I guess I'm just fortunate to have plenty of work for people who don't expect me to act as their overdraft
  23. I smell a bit of a rat, the guy is ill, better to go out with a protest than simply to accept his mortality
  24. Am I right in thinking that in Northern Ireland the tariff is not tiered ? So unlike England, there is no limit to the revenue that can be generated?
