  1. I don't want to be working like a mad man, but I prefer that to sitting about waiting for the hours to pass. I've worked with lads who don't want to work, I found it really boring, but better to be busy and suddenly find its time to head home. But each to their own.
  2. I started out in line clearance, I really enjoyed it. Got all over, in some very beautiful places. Worked some very nice, very big trees. Live line work was always interesting
  3. I do. If some one saw some one turning your yard over, would you not want them to speak up?
  4. I've read some garbage in my time, but this thread takes the biscuit. I don't know which is worse his expecting us to believe his crap or be impressed by it, oh dear.
  5. MacBook Air when at home, iPhone when out and about.
  6. Really???? OK, I'll swap you a potato for your house? Come on thats the only deal I'm offering and as you know "any deal is better than no deal":001_rolleyes:
  7. He is not incorrect here, your neighbour does have the right to cut back to boundary any overhanging branches. These branches are "trespassing" on their land, this is an actionable nuisance which he is entitled to remedy. He was wrong to go on your land without asking, but its a civil matter, so the police will have no interest, unless a breach of the peace is likely to occur. Your only coarse really would be to take him to sue him, but you would need to prove you have suffered some loss for which you require recompense. Why do you want to see the bill?
  8. It would probably be cheaper to read up and then take the test, if you fail you will probably have gained the knowledge required to pass next time. Total cost £230, probably cheaper than training and less time consuming or irritating
  9. £115 ain't the end of the world. I'd happily pay it to be young enough to need it.
  10. So you don't think they would do you for both?
  11. The test costs £500
  12. You clearly have a poor memory or is you thats "smoking/drinking?"
  13. No! You need to hang up the keys, step away from the vehicle and go catch a bus
  14. Or overloaded.
  15. This is clearly not just about license, weight is obviously also an important factor. I do not claim to be 100% correct, but I'm sure I'm wrong.
  16. Tractors can't have an MOT, although you were 100% sure they could
  17. What if the trailer is carrying a tractor with an MOT?
  18. The letter refers to the weight VOSA will apply, IE actual weight, not plated weight.
  19. Pretty sure your wrong there, VOSA Letter.pdf
  20. I think most people given Trumps start would do pretty well, in fact I believe its been said that if he had put daddy's money in a decent interest account he would be pretty much where he is know. I guess he would not then have employes as many, but then he would not have shafted as many either P.S. I did not claim his talk was cheap and mine of value, I said "talk is cheap" meaning all talk, its actions that count, IMO.
  21. Already there mate
  22. I don't recall ever being asked if I was AAAC. I have worked next to a firm that is, the spiked an Ash that was being retained and pruned it in such a way that left one spindly leader that was obviously going to snap out on the next windy day, sure enough I was back there the other day and the top had snapped out.
  23. Yeah!! cause every firm thats not AAAC is just some bloke down the pub
  24. Talks cheap.
