  1. This is clearly not just about license, weight is obviously also an important factor. I do not claim to be 100% correct, but I'm sure I'm wrong.
  2. Tractors can't have an MOT, although you were 100% sure they could
  3. What if the trailer is carrying a tractor with an MOT?
  4. The letter refers to the weight VOSA will apply, IE actual weight, not plated weight.
  5. Pretty sure your wrong there, VOSA Letter.pdf
  6. I think most people given Trumps start would do pretty well, in fact I believe its been said that if he had put daddy's money in a decent interest account he would be pretty much where he is know. I guess he would not then have employes as many, but then he would not have shafted as many either P.S. I did not claim his talk was cheap and mine of value, I said "talk is cheap" meaning all talk, its actions that count, IMO.
  7. I don't recall ever being asked if I was AAAC. I have worked next to a firm that is, the spiked an Ash that was being retained and pruned it in such a way that left one spindly leader that was obviously going to snap out on the next windy day, sure enough I was back there the other day and the top had snapped out.
  8. Yeah!! cause every firm thats not AAAC is just some bloke down the pub
  9. So you think they are "slow" or of low IQ, as opposed to just cruel or in humane? "Retard" is a pretty offensive term and those that fall into this bracket deserve our sympathy not scorn. IME people of low IQ tend to be some of the kinder and more humane people you will meet.
  10. Quite right too!!!! Shame trade shows aimed at just us feel its OK to shaft us for the pleasure of spending money on gear The discounts used to mean it was worthing paying, but those days are gone, I gave the APF a miss for the first time last year (been going to them for 20 odd years) I'm not sure I'll ever pay for a trade show again, it stinks!!
  11. Get the stuff sold. You were charging far, far to little when you were using them, IMO.
  12. When did having a drink become a crime? I think the point being made is the hypocrisy.
  13. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/picture-forum/12225-lunge-thread.html
  14. I've never lived alone, but I remember when we were married at first we were proper skint. My Mrs baked all our bread and I got spuds and carrots from the dairy farm next door, they were the big misshaped ones the supermarkets rejected, the cows liked them. We did our entire weekly shop with £25.
  15. You can get 1KG of chicken breast from tesco for under £4 pounds and 1KG of rice for under £1 (dry weight) I reckon that would produce at least 8 portions (wet weight)
  16. There will be plenty of healthy people who buy cheap cuts of meat, prepare their own veg, etc and eat very well for very little. Some people are fat and lazy, but its their doing, no one else's.
  17. I don't buy that. The junk food manufactures are making big profits, so the ingredients in the products cost pennies. You can buy good simple food very cheaply, it takes more time to prepare, but is a better meal once completed. People always find someone else to blame for their failures.
  18. Or were possibly able to retire on the money you had paid them
  19. :congrats: People are very keen to call for changes that they feel will not really affect them, but don't want stop flying, driving etc
