  1. If your desperate, fell them and leave the leaves on until they wilt, this will help draw out some of the moisture. Also once your burning it get as much wood in the house as you can, it will dry quite quickly in a warm house, although humidity in your home may be a problem.
  2. Congratulations James!!! A girl first time, thats good going!, took me three goes before I got a girl!! I grandma always said "it takes a man to make a girl"
  3. Its not common and very rare on short wheel base machines, in fact mine is one of only two ever built that are 200hp, short wheel base and full ag spec.
  4. Yes but mines a short wheel base with 4 wheel steer, I have never had issues getting onto site, mine will go any where a transit will go. Plus my crane has twice the reach the one yours had, so I don't need to get as close
  5. Sounds like your sorted I want one machine for all jobs. I do all the driving and want to keep staff down to an absolute minimum (their far to expensive and annoying, for my liking) so having to take more than one vehicle to site would not suit me, plus around my neck of the woods there would not be room for a loader on most sites. The thing about mogs is there versatility, I've just finished a clearance job, I took the chipper of the front and was skidding out 5tonne Oak butts with the mog.
  6. No comparison, IMO. The mog could be towing a 13.5 tonne trailer, so you could take home around 10tonne of logs and chip. The timber all being loaded by hiab. With the Iveco you can carry a few tonnes of chip and nothing more, any timber has to be hand balled, far from "ultimate" IMO.
  7. What legislation states this??
  8. Is that worse?? I can't decide:001_huh: I'm not sure it is, at least you would still have your brother
  9. If it were me I'd want to give all none surgical options 100%, be for even contemplating going under the knife. I'd also want to know the track record of the surgeon.
  10. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUIe7SAHJaM]Jackanory - Opening titles - YouTube[/ame]
  11. You pay 20% and charge 5%, you really need to be registered.
  12. Its like red or heating oil, buy 2,000L or less and its 5%, buy more than that and its 20%.
  13. If you don't want to post pic's don't, is there really any need to make so much fuss?? Its possible to post pictures of logs, etc without showing equipment or buildings, I've posted pictures of my log pile in the past, without any issues.
  14. Not ideal really, as the builder will be suppling bricks. For me it would depend how long its going to take and how the job was going. If your going to charge extra you need to tell the client before you redo the hight, so he has the option to leave them as they are.
  15. Are you running a 7pin sprocket?? If so change to an 8, it really speeds up the chain and with a 25" bar cuts really, really well, IME.
  16. You must be doing it wrong!!
  17. Absolutely correct!!! In fact its even better than that, they only start paying when they are earning enough. My son has just started sixth form and will be going on to Uni, I have told him how I have invested in machinery over the years, borrowing up to £30K on occasions, those investments have made me very good returns, but the investment he makes in his education has the potential to give returns I could not even dream of
