1. Its a 6" liner made from 904 stainless steel.
2. I really don't think you have a chimney fire, I've had a few and IME you always know. If it was swept in april and not lit since it should be squeaky clean.
3. Stevie now has my old mog, they just go on and on, they never die!!
4. Thats not uncommon, it help heat the room above too.
5. I still say what I think, just try to do it in a manner that does not get peoples backs up
6. If your off road a fair bit keep it, if not get rid.
7. Who knows what valuable contributions we have lost from those who felt they could not post. I realise that I have come across as a bit argumentative at times, I am endeavouring not come across in that manor from now on.
8. As I said, not having a dig mate, I've been there, you just want to get done and go home But we often find fault with the plod, but if we don't give the info they need we can't complain when they don't succeed.
9. And when your not a thief its very difficult to think like one.
10. Not having a dig, but I think you should have called the police immediately. They may have gone round the corner and stolen something else, that person rings the police, but there are no leads, your call could have been just what was needed.
11. LOL, sorry should read "staying power" typo only pulling your leg mate

costs

IMO, when it comes to pricing there are two prices, there is the price I would like and there is the price I can do it for, hopefully I win the job for a price some where between the two, ideally nearer the price I would like The only way to know the price you can do it for is by working out all your costs and the wage you need to survive. The price you would like depends on what your aspirations are:thumbup:
13. These youngsters have no saying power, I do that distance in the mog, no problem at all.
14. No I'm not. You are suggesting he pays out more for staff to get the work done faster, thus reducing his profit. On page 3 I was saying that him doing the work over 6 days per week and banking the money was better than spreading the work out by only working 4 days.
15. In fact that was not so far off, we had one of the best summers for many years and much, much than the previous 5.
16. I have only ever shared a tree once, got to say I did not really like it. Whats the H&S implications of more than one climber in a tree, obviously we all know about two and a half hight of trees distance for felling, but whats he score up the tree???
17. A very good time to get on this directory, especially for the fire wood boys!!
18. That can't be right, we leave our immersion heater on all summer (may to october, this year) we have 4 big plasma and LCD TV's, plus running a swimming pool filtration system, plus my 4 children like leaving lights etc on and our electric bills are about £200 per month.
19.
LCC sold their unimog and then realised they had a snow blower, but nothing to operate it. If needed they get me and my mog in to run their blower.

20. Got to say I think that terrible advice. This time of year people are generally more than happy to wait, its not like the spring when they often want it done ASAP. Paying out for extra staff will eat up way to much profit, IMO. Also telling customers you busy and can't do the job for a few weeks or even months, can actually build their confidence, as poor trades men are seldom booked up.
21. The piles of cash you have saved since selling the mog will surely see you through even the longest winter
