  10. This is exactly how I feel. But I guess I have no issues with standard defenders, so feel no need to try plugs. I do find it very hard to believe the weight difference is noticeable

  12. The kwikchips I've used over the years have always been really good, did not realise some had a low opinion of them.
  13. I think insurance would be a better protection. Going Ltd is quite expense and IMO is not worth considering unless your at least over the VAT threshold, I think going VAT registered would the first move before thinking go going Ltd.
  14. Why would you see this as a issue at this early stage??
  15. Many years ago before I got my first chipper, I had an Ifor Williams 16' trailer, the amount of stuff you could get on it was incredible!!! Got banned from the council waste transfer site, as when I used to chuck stuff down the hole, that was then pushed into the container by a hydraulic ram, the brash (mostly long lengths of Laylandii) would jam the mechanism and the had to clear it with their JCB.
  16. Yes I'm genuinely interested:thumbup1: Whats the maximum size it will cut? what sort of quantities would it be realistic for a novice such as myself to cut? I would start putting some of my better timber to one side (most of my timber is sold by the arctic load) and then hire your machine once I had enough to warrant the hire. For me it would be to produce timber for my own use, fencing, sheds, etc.
  17. This sounds like an excellent service!! I would certainly be interested.
  18. I don't really get the point of a flip cap if its still just a screw fit??
  19. I had a friend who used to get his shoes from them, did not realise they also made work boots.
  20. Bought my son a 550 for his first saw (he is my apprentice ) the only thing wrong with it is its not mine!! What a cracking saw!!!!! It got stollen just over a week ago, I immediately replaced it with a new one, my lad loves it!!!
