  4. I'd go very low with a very shallow gob.
  5. I agree, I remember seeing Sea Buckthorn on Ray Mears the berries were very small and in very large clumps. These berries look more like the ones you get as a garnish on desserts in nice restaurants.
  6. Not personally, but have heard that others have with good success. I would try to dry the cord as much as possible before chipping, its hard on the chipper, but has got to be the easiest way of loosing water.

  8. Click on UserCP at the bottom of any page, click on "edit signature"
  9. I'm not really an Arborist, I'm a climber or saw for hire. I'm much happier killing trees than pruning them, when your felling you know when your finished, with pruning there is alway the chance of the customer coming out and asking for a little more off, usually after we have cleaned up:sneaky2:
  10. Not all chippers are equal, the popular ones are popular for good reasons. I have heard people burning Apple or other twisty brash because there poor chipper was not up to the job.
  11. All living things die, sometimes we know why sometimes we don't
  12. The strange thing about that is that its typed at the end of each post rather than a signature, I've noticed a few members do that
  13. I find its better when entering the gate to be looking at a nice tidy sized field than a huge messy one
  14. I've never been offered finance that wasn't fixed.
  15. Me and my son may attend, just need to get a bit nearer the time to check we can spare the time.
  16. Has there been any ground works or building near the tree???
  17. Weather has really turned here, just hopping theres a few more dry, warm day to come before the end of the month.

    Bit soft.

Are you sure it was a Mog you got rid of, sounds more like a woman to me
  19. You should be able to get around £60 a tonne for clean Beech saw logs, less haulage.
  20. You nailed it right there!!!!
  21. Its "lop and top", its whats left in the woods when the saw logs and cord have been removed.
  22. Finance is a tool, just like a saw, truck or chipper, if you need it and use it correctly it will make you money just like any other tool.
