  1. I just hope it's not as bad as last year, this time last year it started raining and did not stop until April. I've worked outside for 25 years and cannot remember such a long wet winter, very mild and very wet. I would much prefer months of -10.
  2. Very much depends what's under the grass, if the ground is soft you will just end up with a mess, imo. This stuff is ideal for preventing the grass from being destroyed between the wheels and hard ground.
  3. I'm pretty sure that even if you found a crane and base light enough, a landy will be too light a base vehicle to get a stable lift of that weight at that distance, so you will never get it LOLER'd.
  4. Cheers for the kind words, yes we climbers are a pretty special bunch  :001_cool:
  5. How mature are they? They may be regen that have not reached a size where they become infected.
  6. Result, although you have not got "permission" as they have stated its not needed.
  7. Indeed Even had one stipulate a replacement tree
  8. Head and shoulders above TW, IMO. Their reputation is very well deserved, IMO, fantastic chippers.
  9. Its the age old problem, the best people for the job would not want it. Just as those with a desire to do it should be excluded.
  10. Thats her safe till 2020 then
  11. Yes, yes you have, IMO.
  12. You can't really say that.
  13. Every one is different, I would never even consider a CS100, it would drive me nuts.

  15. Chortle:lol:
  16. I've done 100's of stumps with a 13hp machine, possibly 1000's. IMO, it no big deal, its hard work, but most tree work is, sure bigger machines are great when there is good access, but when there isn't you make do.
  17. Was there a reason for not simply knocking it over??
  18. Many traveler vans have no toilet.
  19. WTF???? Presumably this is yours

    Emigrating

Well I love good old blighty!! As Oscar said "To be born an English man is to hold the winning ticket in the lottery of life" I live about a mile from where I was born. Been married 26 years, 4 great children. We live near both sets of parents, they were a great help baby siting and we are beginning to return the favour as they all get older. My mother fell down the stair last year breaking her neck, leaving her a quadriplegic, we visit her every week, just to help make her life bearable. I would hate to be the other end of the country, never mind another country. I like living in an area I know very well, seeing familiar faces every day. Each to their own and all that
  22. I'm pretty sure it's a U1750, I saw it once up at ACP.
