Why don't they simply turn their stove down? If it's an open fire bigger logs are best. Slower burning wet logs are a false economy, as they are simply wasting heat. -

Good for him need people like him to stand up if this nonsense is ever to end. Even Germain Greer has taken a stand on trans gender, says a lot, IMO.

Because they are both very extreme in their views and then set these views as "fact" rather than simply their opinion. They then get the establishment to accept these "facts" anyone who dares to express a differing opinion is then labeled as racist or sexist. They refuse to debate the issues, as the facts have been established. This then leads to banning people from the Country, universities, etc. "Safe spaces" are established in schools and collages to prevent these "facts" from being challenged in debate and discussion.

Yes the world is now bonkers, there is an agenda of multiculturalism and cultural equity that is stuck to, any story that threatens that is shut down and hushed up. Near me there is a graveyard, there is an ethnic group have taken graves there and some have not paid, the person on the council who is responsible for getting the payments was going to start proceedings, they were moved and the job taken over by someone else more on massage.

This poem (although this is actually the poorest version I've seen, the original is somewhat better) really only reflects the differing difficulties in drying different timber. The timbers that are listed as good are generally easy to dry and tend to stay dry. A good example is Elm, Elm felled green is very difficult to dry, taking years. But DED causes the tree to self season and gravity dry, it then becomes some of the finest firewood there is. Green Ash will burn (poorly in real terms) the fact that this is held up as he gold standard says it all IMO.

If any of my children felt the need for the crutch of religion I would happily support their need, my parents and brother are still "of faith" and I respect their stance But up until now my children seem pretty happy with life defined by facts and science and have not as yet seemed to need any thing of a more mystical nature to plug any god shaped holes

I think the real reason is damage caused by being hit by tipper bodies when reversing, not being hit by trees.

My eldest son was fast approaching the age of 3 and I became aware that I was about to begin indoctrinating him with my beliefs, I felt this was a huge thing, he was a blank sheet on which we as a family were about to write. I needed to be sure my reality was the correct on. I bough many books and used the internet, boy oh boy!!! If you look back at the history of Christianity its simply a morph of earlier pagan beliefs, myths and legends. If you get back to the original translation of the bible you can see some of it is a collection of older stories combined. Human feel a need to have purpose and find meaning in life, but its all the construct of man, a nice little story with a happy ending.
