1. Call all the employers you can find in New Zealand. You will get free training as well as a job.You will learn a hell of a lot more about the nuts and bolts of tree work on the job than you will ever learn on a course. No matter how long in duration or prestigious it may sound.
2. but i've got cs30/31!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. Gis a job.
4. Is it a CH160? Like this one? Because if it is,it will always be greif. It was never designed as a Brush Chipper. They were designed to make big chips for heating pellets. That info came from the Factory in Finland.I had one,it was such a pile of shitte i was estatic to pass it off before I filled it with cement and sank it.
5. Your better off going to the Southern Hemisphere for the Northern Winter, than further North . Generally employers anywhere are after someone who can fill a role with minimal training,if I interpreted your post correctly then your pretty new to this industry and there for better off getting some more experience before heading abroad.
6. I don't know who you have been working for Paul. But thats all we do here in Norway.Never use a Chainsaw us,we go to work in a Prius and eat Lentils from a Communal Bowl. Seriously though. You would be better saving some Wedge and making inquiries come Spring. Also getting to know the pay-scale and where abouts you might be on it. Stories of "My mates on £35 an HOUR in Oslo" are many, but the reality is those days are over.
7. Are you any good yourself?
8. Nice to see an old one come down Dave. Its been ages since anyone has posted a video like that.
9. Go round there now and make sure he is all right.Call your first job and explain why you will be late. Don't let this man be a victim,do something about it.
10. I would have been tempted to have filled said Snowman with "Dog Chocolate" and placed it on their Desk.
11. They are not far off running a loaded Transit or a Landy 130 pulling a chipper. Pretty economical on long runs too.Mine burns about 100 liters a week towing 2 ton behind it,on some pretty steep hills.
12. Dean. Do send them my details, should they be interested in a "Rustic" Dry Stone Wall.
13. Not to mention RSPB bino's.
14. In descending order: 3)Any wood I have stolen 2)And Split Wood I have Stolen 1)Any Split dry Wood I have stolen
15.
Taking down trees with a Sea Crane.

16. There must be a sustained loss of traction resulting in visable smoke coming from one or more tyres. The Vehicle must be directly involved in Arboricultural operations,no family cars or weekend wagons. Thats it.
17. Rubbish! Landies can do anything!
18. Smoke up your Transits and Landies and post in this thread! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ge9VxZ-02CI]Arb burnout.. - YouTube[/ame]
19. The opportunity exists for a experienced second climber to assist with a small well equip company in Bergen Norway.Working with Trees and equipment larger than the norm. The terms are full time "cards in" with pension and holidays after three months.Self employment is unavailable due to Norwegian Tax law. 20. None. Like you said, the "X" ring of F class is 5" and to "shoot the center out of it" is a 3" group.
21. Go Pro Camera?
22. 3" groups at 1000 yards?
23. I don't think anyone is getting pushed Mark. It is an attractive industry to get into, there just arn't that many jobs going. That fact might get overlooked by those providing resettlement courses, this MOD demobilization is doing for trainers, what the 1987 Storm did for cutters.
24. How could it be unsafe? The Bar worked with a Crack in it,will still probably work with a Crack in it.Weld up the crack after having a go at it with the "Sparkle Maker".
