  1. Could be. I have only worked on one mog,but if like Huck said, his 1600 shuts off with the exhaust brake acuator, then if yours shuts off in the same manner then something may well be loose.
  2. Might have a electric over air solinoid on it. Find the actuator on the exhaust manifold, follow it untill you find the solinoid.Run 12V to it and see if it works.
  3. Plenty for sale in New Zealand Motors search results - Find vehicles on Trade Me Motors
  4. Can't interest you in a Tidy Mog with a blown gear box or a Wallinstein splitter per chance?
  5. I beleive you could be cut in half by a Wire Rope.If it was heavy or moving fast enough.I do not believe a small diameter winchline could do it,but a heavy Cable could.
  6. If its a shattered disc, then you might be able to remove the Caliper, hang it up out of the way and drive slowly home.
  7. When I worked in the Forest back home, there was a strict "No Joints before the Bakery" rule.I beleive it was in place to stop loggers attempting to work on a Breakfast of sticky Buns and Minty´s.
  8. On this page are Unimog Brake Disc's,halfway down. TES Technik e.K. - Unimog 424/425/435/427/437 - Bremsen - für den Unimog 424/425/435/427/437. It is in Germany,so they might speak English with a funny accent.
  9. If you let us know what type you needed, then we would know what one we have that might fit?
  10. Rough that is mate. On a different note,is the Spa Hotel still going?
  11. Excellent pictures! Thanks for sharing.
  12. Fell it. Then replace it with New Zealands NationalTree,a nice Pinus Radiata. Reducing it,Cabling it,improving the "Soil Structure" etc, does nothing for the fact the Trees is structually defective. Also the "Soil" around Taupo is crap, especially near the Lake Front where that Tree stands. The Tree is falling apart because its knackered.Appreciate that.
  13. I think they have had their day. I would reccomend a Jensen A340 9" with a turntable.They are a heavy,but fantastically powerful machine.
  14. Show these guys that your ready to accept responsibility by jumping out of the van with the job sheet on the first job and introducing yourself and your crew to the client. Showing your subordinants and the client who gives the orders around here now is critical.
  15. Mike Hill

    Bee's

Approach it quietly with a Bin bag, fling it over the Bird House and rip it off the Tree. Then make a wee hole in it and blast it with Fly Spray.Done it plenty of times.
  16. It was in my diary, however the Norwegian Herring Pickling festival edged it out for me this year.
  17. Sign of the times mate, there is alot of new blood on the scene and its driving prices down.Just like us buying gear at the keenest price, employeers are shopping around when it comes to labour.
  18. Because at Arb Shows, people are ment to spend money?
  19. If you are tightening it up with a Hammer, eventually you will strip the threads either on the bolt or handled nut. The Chute clamp is a joke on Jensens.Even a 2ton £50K machine has a Clamp designed by Mattel.
  20. Some kind of bitter green Tea drunk in South America? Can´t remember the name of it ,but it starts with "M".Thats what the locals drink out of that Cup with a silver straw.
  21. Excellent! Then may I direct you to the many Posts and Threads on this very Forum regarding both Working abroad and Unimogs.
  22. Does a pre 1996 license allow you to drive a Unimog under 7.5 ton?
