  1. Here is another one. This has a single rotating blade similar to a Propeller.More typical of what was around when I was growing up. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0nxGzur3i8]Hedge trimmer - YouTube[/ame]
  2. Jeg rutinemessig skriver illegable sentenes Ingen kan forstå. I have translated your post into Norwegian so more people can understand it.
  3. Yes. Good saw, close to a 066 but less Torque.Only really notice it with a long bar on.
  4. Well they could always find their own work,be a very compeditive outfit at £256 per day. Don't you know we are in a recession?
  5. £16? Sounds a bit steep to me,do you know we are in a recession?
  6. If you would be so kind as to post pictures of any young woman involved in your role playing,I may be able to help. Kind regards Darth Vader
  7. Love to see a picture of that mate, what colour is it? That Mog gearbox blowing has given you an excellent leverage point with reducing the price.Get a recon box and chuck in in yourself. Then you know you have a sweet box in your sweet ride!:thumbup::thumbup:
  8. I bought a Chinese side lever made my "Norinco" recently.Apart from the horrific Trigger and cheap sights its powerful enough and supprisingly accurate. Learn how to shoot with a Airgun and then go for your FAC.
  9. Hung over, smoking a Roll up and wearing a flat cap.
  10. I reply to your statement with this Picture
  11. Break it down like this: time to do quote (30mins including travel) Fuel to do quoe £5 Fuel to do job £5 Wear and tear £5 Time to do job 2 Hours Travel to next job and set up 30 mins Time elapsed 3 Hours Costs £15 £70-£15 costs=£55. £55/3 hours =£18,33 Gross £18,33 minus your Tax and N.I. Contributions is what you are left with. Experiance will teach you what to charge.IF you are happy with the figures then thats fine by you. However I am in business to make money,if your not turning a proffit,go and work for someone.
  12. The true reality of Cable Logging is,long periods of smooth operating with the occasional spectacular equipment failure or injury. And when accidents happen, its so fast you would be hard pressed to capture it on Camera.
  13. Personally I think incidences of Tops splitting out comes down to inexpericance in general felling. Even an inexperianced faller should know never to use the same techniques on heavy leaning or weighted Trees as you might on more verticle examples.Much less up a tree where the stakes are so much higher. If you think there is a chance of it splitting out, then you should never consider taking a big top.
  14. Big job for sure. I could not overlook your startling resembalance to another Arbtalk member,Mr Liam Moore. Was your Father a Milkman in the North of England perchance?
  15. I have been thinking about this too Rob.I venture we work together on this,I can supply Elm/Ash/Oak/Yew delivered to you for a sum not exceeding £5000 per Ton. Plus Vat.
  16. Can you import Green Wood from Europe? I remember there being some reprecussions from a load of dodgy Elm in the past?
  17. Glad to hear your enjoying yourself Rob.How are you Parents liking the states?
  18. Have you tried flipping it?You can use both sides of it. Saturn Machine Knives sell Anvils and Knives, very good ones.
  19. This is,if there is a job when you call/Email you still have to be there and be good enough for the position. If you are travelling and unlikely to stay long enough for the company to recoop the time they have spent teaching you they will be reluctant to hire you. In my experiance, when hired abroad, the company wanted a immeadiate and competent replacment. Not someone who required extensive training. If you had immigrated and where there for good, might be a different story.
  20. Could you not just put a Tow Ball in the front of the L200?Might be a bit tricky on round a bouts but at least you'd get all of it to the job?
  21. Great to see people taking pride in their Country.
  22. Hello. Great user name, does it have a story with it?
  23. I have an old suunto, its bulletproof.I wore it everyday for years. Can´t you tell the time from just looking at the Sun Sam? King of the Forrest and all that?
  24. A mate of mine has this big Yew on his Farm. Its hollow and many of the Limbs are Hollow as well.If it tips over its going to block a track,he wants it down and we were wondering how old it might be? Its about 50foot high and close to 7 foot at the base.
