1. Nice to see an old one come down Dave. Its been ages since anyone has posted a video like that.
2. Go round there now and make sure he is all right.Call your first job and explain why you will be late. Don't let this man be a victim,do something about it.
3. I would have been tempted to have filled said Snowman with "Dog Chocolate" and placed it on their Desk.
4. They are not far off running a loaded Transit or a Landy 130 pulling a chipper. Pretty economical on long runs too.Mine burns about 100 liters a week towing 2 ton behind it,on some pretty steep hills.
5. Dean. Do send them my details, should they be interested in a "Rustic" Dry Stone Wall.
6. In descending order: 3)Any wood I have stolen 2)And Split Wood I have Stolen 1)Any Split dry Wood I have stolen
7.
Taking down trees with a Sea Crane.

8. There must be a sustained loss of traction resulting in visable smoke coming from one or more tyres. The Vehicle must be directly involved in Arboricultural operations,no family cars or weekend wagons. Thats it.
9. Rubbish! Landies can do anything!
10. Smoke up your Transits and Landies and post in this thread! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ge9VxZ-02CI]Arb burnout.. - YouTube[/ame]
11. The opportunity exists for a experienced second climber to assist with a small well equip company in Bergen Norway.Working with Trees and equipment larger than the norm. The terms are full time "cards in" with pension and holidays after three months.Self employment is unavailable due to Norwegian Tax law. This position would be ideal for a newly qualified ex forces member although not limited to such applicants Accommodation is provided. 12. None. Like you said, the "X" ring of F class is 5" and to "shoot the center out of it" is a 3" group.
13. I don't think anyone is getting pushed Mark. It is an attractive industry to get into, there just arn't that many jobs going. That fact might get overlooked by those providing resettlement courses, this MOD demobilization is doing for trainers, what the 1987 Storm did for cutters.
14. How could it be unsafe? The Bar worked with a Crack in it,will still probably work with a Crack in it.Weld up the crack after having a go at it with the "Sparkle Maker".
15. I think the age cut off,is actually about how much you can contribute to the retirement and medical systems that you will end up using if you stay. If they allowed thousands of 40 year olds into the country, each would only contribute to the system for 20 years and take from it for potentially another 40 years more.
16. Looks really good Ben. Any tips for other Arbtalkers on how to get a Visa for the states?
17. Disc Brakes wouldn't be a expensive or silly addition to one of those. You could pay a wayward youth to steel you a Mountain Bike and use the brakes off that for example.
18. Absolutely: We want to spend as little as possible to make as much as we can. Just like most of our clients want the most for their money, money that they like us have earned. The influx of new personal into the industry is a windfall for training and equipment suppliers, the amount of Arb gear sold in the last 5 to 10 years,in conjunction with the number of students at training centers must add up to tens of millions of Pounds in revenue. Just like a huge Storm would be huge benefit to us financially, now is the time for equipment and training Schools to harvest the good times. What I think I am worth: I am worth exactly as much as my company can earn.If market conditions mean that my services don't make the profit I require, then I will go and do something else.
19. Nzpaul on here is looking for workers in Sweden if you are interested.
