  1. I think it would be worth you getting your HGV. Its a string to your Bow and somthing to fall back on in the future. Also if sometime you plan on working in NZ,AUS,or the States,it will stand you in good stead.
  2. Wow! Thats 100% Gayness! Good for you raising money for a worthy cause mate!
  3. No need my freind,I have already done it for you! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dmE-emrrAs&feature=PlayList&p=E254B79BF0E1FE57&playnext=1&index=2]YouTube - US Marine Corps Flamethrower Demonstration[/ame]
  4. If you had hidden a Pie under that stump......
  5. Pleased it didn't make an Ass of itself.
  6. I remember shooting a Grey out of my bedroom window after a Rave once. I was enjoying the Kaleidoscopic effect though the Scope when I snapped out of it and remembered why I was pointing a Rifle at a Tree at 8am on a Sunday Morning.
  7. I think the Training organisations should produce Graduates with the skills and attitude to make a Employer Money from day one.Not a bunch of listless over equipt, under speed and desiring an unrealistic wage for their minimal skill.
  8. I have failed to understand your post. Being Qualified dosn't not reduce the risk inherrent in this industry.Sadly it is possible in this day and age to be both Qualified and Incompetent.
  9. This has happened to me twice. I sent them an Email asking them to remove the pictures and they did so.
  10. It seems to me that the people who decide what Quals we need are those who have the least industry experiance. I do not agree that Qualifications make for a more professional industry,or improve our image in the Customers eyes. For example, how many of a Mechanic's Clients ask for his Quals? He is working on a machine that if it should fail, could kill the Client and Family.
  11. Compared to many,I have not been in the industry that long. However during that time I have come to base very little value on industry related Qualifications. The fact that these Certificates do not require the applicatant to perform said tasks in a production situation or at a pace attractive to an employer further the devaluation of these Quals. I my opinion there is to little emphasis on time served in the industry.Personally I would hire a person with say five years experiance over a highly qualified person with just two. The time when applying for a advertised job and arriving for your Trail day, hopfully obtaining employment based upon your abilities seem to have sadly passed.
  12. Butter. I think the Fat makes the Sap come off.I have done this and it works.
  13. Those Big Oaks will be loverly to Mill mate! No Bullets or Shrapnel in them, the Swedes let the Germans March through with Cheary Waves and Feliciations.
  14. The "Fill Partner" looks the same as the system Aspen sells here. If you drop them the oil and fuel separates. If its warm outside the clamp at the top crushes the fuel can due to the plastic becoming more pliable and the Fuel falls off The Alloy that the system is made from becomes brittle and the clamp at the top breaks. Sometimes the fuel just falls off. They are a nice system for the occasional user. But not in my experiance up to the job for everyday use.
  15. Buy "High Climbers and Timber Fallers" by G Beranek and you will desperately want to go and Fell some Red Woods.OR at least knock 100feet off the top of one. That man is a legend.
  16. I was given a couple new saws to Trial and a MS261 is one of them. First impression is that the Saw is heavy for its size. The controlls are in the same format as all Sthil rear Handle saws. The top cover is one peice. To remove this to access the Spark Plug and Air Filter you turn three Bolts half a turn. Its a nice system. The Air intake systen seems very effective.I have been using this Saw alot in the last few days, cutting Logs to length and there was barely any detris stuck on the outside of the Air Filter. The saw has a Decompression valve fitted. The Air Filter is a Circular shape, similar to the after market high Flow Filters some attach to modded Saws. The Filter is removed by rotating it half a turn. The Clutch and Sprocket assembly will be faimilar to Sthil users. The Saw is available with a hand operated chain tensioning system. The one I have now has the more normal screw operated system. The Anti Vibration system is excellent, there are few felt vibrations when running this saw.Good news if the Nerves in your hands feel like mine. The saw came with a 12" Bar and .325" Chain User impressions. I was very supprised with the livelyness of this saw.For limbing and cutting smaller timber the high chainspeed, and power of this saw is supprising. I felt that the old 026 was a bit of a Slug. This saw bears little resemblance to the old 026 in either shape or performance.I feel that this saw fills the gap in performance between an 020 and larger groundsaw, both on the ground and in the Tree.
  17. Ok. I have taken some pictures and am trying to find the lead for the Digital camera
  18. I've been given one of these on Trial. Want a reveiw on it?
  19. Are your Hoses in good condition? If they are old, they may be constricting the water flow.As the water gets hotter, they Bottom hose may become more pliable and squeeze in a bit. If you've had her a while, might be an idea to replace the hoses, after you have pulled the Rad and given it a good clean out.
  20. Open Unless its boxed. Then its boxed, space depends on the size of the box.
  21. I'd be very supprised if its the Engine on the Machine causing trouble in the heat.Deutz Oil cooled engines are used on Machinery that Stacks Sugar Cane in the North of Australia,South Africa and Malaysia. I have worked with Bell Ultra loggers, powered by Oil cooled Engines in 40plus deg. They certainly get hot,but are made to take it.
  22. Pulling the Bile gland off Chicken Livers when I was 15.
  23. I don't agree with doing that to an Animal. Confining that Cat to indoors for the rest of its life is Cruel. How is it going to dig a hole in the litter box or scratch behind its ear.
