  1. Nice Pictures! Are you doing the Bottom End in the Engine?
  2. I did it myself in the States Gareth. Its not unusual for Climbers to modify their Harnesses there. Bit more thinking, bit less Rules.
  3. Undoubtably true about the design and testing Nigle. But I splice my own rope and tie my own knots because I don't trust other people's judgment or machinery.
  4. Cut the Bridge in the Middle, fold it back on both sides untill you can get a Carabiner through the fold, locktight the Screwgate shut. Then Drill through the Doubled Bridge and put two stainless Steel Bolts with Washers on each side. Then Cut off the Excess. Now you can tie a swanky Rope Bridge at whatever length his Heart desires.
  5. Get it. They are easier to Train a new Groundy with imho.Because they are Static and there is not immediate reaction to load.
  6. Bitte Schon mein Freund! http://www.drayer.de/pdf/Gebrauchsanleitung_B60.pdf I have used one,its pretty good for the Big Stuff.
  7. Did you honestly expect a £10 pair of Gloves to last you a Winter?
  8. Me going up to Grease the Tail Rope Blocks about 1996.The Skyline is on a Spar behind me,you can see it in the Original Photo.
  9. I'll write a reveiw on the Smart Winch.I have a GRCS and have used a Hobbs alot as well.I have taken many Photo's of the Smart Winch in action over the last Month or so.
  10. Central Norway is where it is.
  11. I'm Probably not going to go though with this.Because I don't know it it was parked up with Transmission Problems but a good Engine. Now that the Engine is likely knackered I could go to all the time and Expence fitting a replacement Donk only to find the Tractor won't move.
  12. I've been using one for about a Month. Its back in its box and is staying there.
  13. Dip your Finger in some Grease and run it around the inside of the Air Cleaner Cover.Goes a long way in Trapping the Fine Dust.
  14. If you did that to me,I'd sack you and then send you and invoice for using my Gear.
  15. Its not every day you see a Chestnut with Children growing out of it.
  16. I've shot a few Reds and Black Tail with a .22Lr with Subsonics,22WM is a Popular round for Fallow back home. 222 and 223 was used alot by Meat Hunters shooting for the Game Chillers, mainly because the Buyers were only interested in Head/Neck Shot Animals. Its not what your using, its where you hit it.
  17. Here you are, this is more accurate.
  18. Chainsaw Proof Ropes that performed and Handled like current ones. IF I invented them,I would lobby HSE and make it manditory to use them. Then retire to Ibiza.
  19. If,if,if the Engine can be turned over with a bar, then I would consider it.Taking the Head off and having a look would be a good idea.
  20. Be nice if there was a market for Cats and Poodles.
  21. Good to know! I just spoke to a Tractor Enthusiast in Wales. He sayes the Engine is common to a number of early ford Tractors? Any more help is welcome.
  22. Its not got lift arms on the Back. Its in an area that still does a bit of Timber extraction. The Farm is up for sale after the owner died. Its about three hours drive,I should have taken photo's of it.I'd have to tow it to a loading bank and then pull it onto the Truck with the Hiab. Mission.
  23. Don't know. It dosn't have any plating under the machine,I guess its Ag spec?
  24. I have the opportunity to have for free a County 1164.The Engine is likely Seized as its been sitting outside with the Exhaust open for a few years. Its on a Farm thats going up for sale soon. 1)What would an approximate cost of a replacement Engine be? 2)Once replacement Engine is installed and it all works well, what would it likely fetch after a coat of Paint? Other than the Engine the Tractor looks pretty good.
