  1. Very calming watching you working. Are the trees still healthy where you are. i’ve noticed the tops of tall trees in the uk usually die of after 40-50 meters.

  5. Something from Dirk Lingens 110 cm of 6 mm rubber cord finished of with a twist, 45 cm 4 mm cord , petzl croll and a petzl ange s carabiner. Optional with a small rigging ring , connected to side D. don’t know if it’s any good just something i’ve read about.

  13. Just this minute came back from the shops 150-170 cm Noble Fir for 15 Euros. Maybe 13 pounds sterling.
  14. Just trying to say that the default felling cut here in Germany , is the Bore and release back cut.
  15. Seems to be the trend here in Germany. it’s called in German , Die Sicherheitsfälltechnik - Du bestimmst, wann dein Baum fällt The safety felling technique. You decide when the tree falls.
  16. I think there’s 3 or 4 ways of doing it. Here’s one
  17. I would be quite happy with a ms 241 and a ms 150.
  18. Both are top handle saws.
  19. I think some kits have a self life of twenty years
  20. Do yourself a favour and buy a ms 150 . no more heavy top handle saws for me
  21. The sound of a 070/090 is real good.
